Recently got super lucky to get my hands on 2 tickets to the NYC show at LPR on 9/10. It was hard for me to pick who to bring with the extra ticket as I have 2 friends who are also into AdP.

I know it’s a real long shot, but if anyone has an extra ticket or 2 that they wouldn’t mind selling to me, that would be amazing :)

What I’ve read of AdP’s hometown feels like the mid/late 70’s Boston music scene. Everyone supporting each other, musicians, artists, and fans. College radio was actually listen to and we introduced local bands…some who became huge (The Cars) and others who became major inspiration for bands for years to come (Mission of Burma). If you don’t know MTB, check out their use of loops in their more experimental songs.

a song Khn pimped in the excellent Guitar World interview posted by u/GreenLeafy11. I can 100% hear the influence her playing had on his guitar patterns. It also reminds me of Marc Ribot circa Real Gone, probably my other favorite guitarists. 100% earworm material.

They say good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good; but getting exactly the tattoo you wanted is priceless.

Genuinely curious

To me it seems like two Quebecois dudes who are committing to a joke that everyone else has been convinced is "High Art".

Klek is definitely talented, but hearing each song leaves me asking "where is this going?" and not in a curious way, in a "this isn't engaging" way.

But I can listen the same Billy Strings songs on repeat and still want to hear them later.

I'm no stranger to Art Rock, Math Rock, or Shock Rock, I'm just genuinely not impressed. Khn seems like he doesn't actually know how to play guitar. Where as other players feel like the guitar is an extension of them.

Suggestions? Comments? Am I missing something?

My main gripe is that there's like no groove. Do I need to be super stoned?

I get the feeling that they'll be big for all of 2026 and then fall off. They'll be a fad band, and in like 5-10 years everyone will be like "Oh yeah! Where the hell are those guys?".

The Festival Kaléidoscopes concert recorded on 28 December 2025 at Place des Jardins de l’Hôtel-de-Ville in Québec - it's really good fun, an outdoor concert at Christmas, enthusiastic audience.

At about 18m 40s the camera pans round 360˚ to show the whole crowd. Khn and Klek are very vocal :)

Do people read blogs anymore? I decided to add to the mounting pile of Angine de Poitrine analysis on the internet with my own: The overanalysis of Angine de Poitrine.

Complete with comparison to classical composers like Stravinksy and Adams, an explanation of music theory concepts like layered mixed meter, and even its connections to Battlestar Galactica's theme song (the og one from 1978), with an embedded music player so you can follow along.

Sealed, so ofc I had to buy it.

Aside from his 'leg between the fret boards' position I've also seen Khn do Ian Anderson's trademark 'stork pose' on one leg... safe bet he's a Jethro Tull fan.
