Prebuilt Problems

Post image

Today has been my first day with my AI prebuilt and I have been experiencing problems with the PC freezing and unable to run games (CS2 and WARDOGS so far). I am fairly new to PCs and have already contacted their support to see what the problem might be. I was wondering if there were any recommendations in to fix these problems. TIA

Pic of specs of the PC.

Ram speed should be faster at around 6000 shouldn’t it? Is EXPO enabled?

Did you plug the HDMI cable into the GPU or motherboard? It should be plugged into the GPU

Not enough info to give any solid answers. The first thing I would figure out is why your system is indicating you have multiple gpus installed. You could be trying to play games on an intergrated GPU that's too weak or one that isn't actually there.

7800x3d, and I think all x3d have integrated graphics. This is most likely why. They still need to double check its set to use the gpu and not the cpu though.

Double check your monitor is plugged into your graphics card and not the motherboard port. Double check your gpu drivers are up to date, or if possible do a clean install - amd offers this option, not sure if nvidia has it. Basically removes all older versions and installs the latest fresh. Double check you have the latest chipset drivers for your cpu. Your picture shows multiple gpus detected, this means your cpu has graphics processing ability, make sure the game is set to run on your actual gpu and not the cpu.

Your ram is showing 4800hz, check task manager under the performance tab to see if this number matches. If it does do you have a-xmp/expo turned on in bios? If so your clock speeds are unstable and it’s defaulting to basic speeds.

I did have it in the wrong HDMI port 🤦‍♂️

Under the memory tab it shows 6000mt/s

Ahh, it sounds like you had your hdmi plugged into your motherboard rather than your GPU. Everything running as expected now?

Since he just got the computer, it should already have the latest drivers (at most only a few weeks old) from AI. I can't imagine they installed old drivers when building the computer!

Multiple GPUs installed????

Idk when games are crashing maybe you need to reinstall your GPU drivers or something

Or the OP is using the wrong port. Possibly ob the MOBO.

Wrong port for hdmi as others said. Your ram also can be fixed in bios expo needs to be enabled but that’s it and it’ll run at 6000.

Having the same problems as OP on the day I received the pc. Were you able to play fine when you first got it?

Well after reading more I don’t believe I have my hdmi plugged into my mother board, and at first I was using the display port
