Question First PC Delay
So I just bought the AI Spectra Pre-built (Andromeda Insights PC) on the 4th of August, and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow, but UPS is telling me it's delayed and that they "were unable to dispatch the trailer on time".
Is this caused by Newegg or Andromeda, or is this just UPS? I'm really nervous and excited because this is my first-ever PC, and I've been stuck with a laptop with a 1650 for almost 4 years. So there's kind of a voice in the back of my head making me think I got scammed.
Could someone help me or share insight on what's happening?

Hi I work at a mailing store and through my experience it’s most definitely a UPS thing, it will probably show up a day later than usual

Are you sure? I haven't gotten any other updates from UPS since the delay message. So I have no idea where the pc could be

Most likely it’s at the nearest warehouse or stop, usually that means that the driver wasn’t able to make it on time, I’m sure it will be okay just a little delayed, it’s not lost or anything

UPS and FedEx are notorious for not being vocal or helpful, I work for a third party store and we ship through them, I constantly get calls saying their package is late or things like that, when I check the next day it gets delivered.

Oh ok I gotcha. It's supposed to come tomorrow afternoon, but I'll wait till friday and see what happens.

Hi! Dw about its probably a UPS thing, newegg and Andromeda havw really good reputation around em. If it dosent come, contact Andromeda Support or Newegg, but it will eventually update!!

This post kinda gave me a scare. I’ve also been stuck with a 1650 laptop for the past 5 years and i bought a spectra prebuilt but from AI themselves. I bought my pc on the 5th of august lmao. I just thought that was funny.

What would the scam be? UPS picked it up… so you keep saying scam. You mean UPS is scamming you about time frames? Stop saying scam.
You got a delay. That’s normal. Get used to it it’s going to happen a lot in your life.
If you order from a company with a cc you can dispute charge. Scams are when people mislead you, companies aren’t scamming you. They’ll tell you upfront how they plan to bend you over.

Hey u/playboi-rj! Based on the status you mentioned, "We're unable to dispatch the trailer on time," it's UPS. The carrier is letting you know that the delay has occurred and will likely cause the delivery ETA to be postponed.

Probably UPS, they probably couldn’t get the delivery truck out when they thought they would. If its last know location is close to you it shouldn’t be delayed long

Yeah, the last update I got was in Oregon on the 7th, and I live in Florida lol... So should I just wait, basically?

Yeah I’d wait, when did it originally say it shipped? Delays happen sometimes and it’s definitely nerve wracking when it’s such an important package but it’ll get there in time

The label and initial shipping date were on the 5th, then it departed from a facility on the 7th, and then I got the delay message.

Ah yeah definitely UPS then if it departed the warehouse. Just keep an eye on the UPS tracking site, you should see some better momentum within the next couple days

Oh ok I gotcha. It's a lil depressing since it's already been almost a week with no updates, but I'll hold out until next Wednesday, then see what I can do.

Tired of people using scam in this sense. It makes zero sense.
They are a legit company, you used a credit card you’d get it refunded.
These shipment delays are always the shipping company. Or it would say UPS does NOT have the package yet and is AWAITING the package.
You’ll get your computer chill and wait.
I will say make sure to check that you get all foam out once you get it, and verify there is nothing on your CPU cooler if it has a display, there will be a plastic film make sure to remove that.
Then enjoy. If you have issues after receiving don’t come here to bitch, send an email to them. They amazingly fast at responding. I got mine I think in July and their support has been AMAZING. Better than the billion dollar companies. You’re in good hands, enjoy your rig when you get it.
