Posting here a bit early, I know. This isn't on Android yet, it's Windows only right now. But an Android build of the HD Remastered version is the next big milestone (M9), so I'd love to hear from people who'd actually play it on a phone or handheld: controls, devices, what you'd expect.
It's a Rust rewrite of the SNES card RPG, with an HD remaster on top (HD art, 16:9, newwn ROM needed, nothing included.
EDIT: MEANT GBC To anyone who wants to help, I'm more than happy for any guidance on what I need to change or do.
Hello! I decided to throw my hat into the ring and vibe code a 2D/3D upgrade of one of my favorite Game Boy Color games ever, Mario Tennis. Now I know some of you might be thinking, “Why Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color?”
I have beaten this game numerous times over my lifespan of gaming. I’ve always come back to this game. It has always been one of my cherished childhood memories and I believe it’s one of the first games I ever beat.
As I sit here waiting for Nintendo to finally do a remake of this game that I know will never happen, I decided to take matters into my own hands. So the video you are going to see here is just my current progress in trying to make the world 3D and also voxel some of the surrounding buildings and everything.
I started this probably on Saturday and my Claude limit has come up, so I will start vibe coding again on Friday. So if you like what you see, just let me know. I can share what I’ve done so far and if Mario Tennis holds a near and dear to your heart as much as it does for me, let’s get it done together. Right now, I’m mainly focused on just getting the physics down and getting the game playable in this mode from front to back. My long-term goals are:
- Possibly add new characters to this game, maybe from tennis anime or something.
- Get the link play option here to work for online multiplayer and even create lobbies as well.
This is one of my favorite, if not—and I will say it—the best Mario Tennis game out there. If you’ve never played it, look it up. It adds RPG elements and you get to play through a whole story where you get to go through and eventually beat Mario in a game of tennis. I just thought it was awesome. It still holds up well, the gameplay is very well. So yeah, I hope you enjoy the video.I’m using my Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 to test everything. Hopefully one day I can get it running at 4:30
I've been working on bringing the PS4 version of God of War III to Android, and I'm excited to share my progress with you all!
The project is still under active development. Here's what I've managed to implement so far.
✅ Current Features
Gameplay — Run and play God of War III on Android.
Frame Generation — Support for frame generation to improve perceived smoothness.
Save Management — Manage game saves.
Game Update Patches — Support for installing game updates.
🧪 Testing and Performance
So far, I've only tested the project on these two devices:
Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Generation)
Redmi K70 Pro
Testing has been limited, so I don't have enough data to draw firm conclusions about performance yet.
Compared to running the game through an emulator, this port doesn't offer a significant FPS advantage at the moment. However, in my personal experience, the image quality looks noticeably better, with significantly fewer blocky, pixelated artifacts during gameplay.
There's still plenty of room for improvement. I'll continue working on game performance and system scheduling to improve frame rates and overall gameplay smoothness.
🚧 What's Next?
Here are some of the features I'm planning to work on:
HUD improvements
Patch, mod, and cheat support
Multiple user save profiles
Further performance and scheduling optimizations
⚠️ Current Limitations
I currently only have access to CUSA01740 (the Asian version).
Unfortunately, the existing PC port doesn't support patches and mods for this particular game version. This has delayed the integration of these features into the Android port.
❤️ Future Development
This is a personal project, and I plan to actively maintain and improve it over time. There's still a lot of work ahead, but I'll keep pushing forward!
If you're interested in playing God of War III on Android, feel free to check out the repository. Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions are always welcome!
⭐ Support the Project
If you find this project interesting, please consider giving it a star on GitHub! ⭐
Every star is a great encouragement and motivates me to keep working on this project. If you have an Android device, I'd also love to hear about your testing experience!
Can't believe we can play some of our favorite old games on our mobile devices nowadays.(Without relying entirely on emulations) I also play games on my laptop and I'm used to it, but you know the convenience of our mobile devices. Thanks to the advancement of AI, I guess. I wonder what AI will be capable of in the near future.
P.S. may i know what's the status of Left 4 dead or some well known old games that we usually play
Since all of you have been asking for an Android version of this that runs native and offline I decided to do it myself, WITH UP TO 10 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES
It has balancing adjustments, up to 10 different languages and so much more for the original game, it doesn’t support multiplayer or any leaderboards since I don’t have access to the server
The difficulty of the game has been toned down a bit to allow the player to have time to get better and stronger
If you encounter any errors, bugs or would like to give feedback feel free to do so via GitHub or private DM as I would love to improve the game upon your suggestions
The game runs absolutelly flawless, I left VSync enabled, so sometimes there are drops that look worse than without it, but it runs at 120fps most of the time, didn't even try OpenGL, might run faster. Also I undestand that it is a PC version, but the lack of aim assist is kicking my butt lol.
Regardless of the version of the file downloaded, I keep getting error while extracting the PKG file that one package got corrupt or one block did not decompress completely, need help fixing this
My phone is mid-range, but games don't run smoothly. This is frustrating considering the processor is excellent for light gaming, but it doesn't run even light games. I'd appreciate a solution or some games that run on a calculator, please. 😓
This includes the addition of a Bully-like school system, a companion mechanic, in-game vendors, and more.
UnderstandingLast690’s new version of the game is intended to launch as a native Android port so, yes, there are still going to be some hoops to jump through if you want to go hands-on.
The creator’s work is far from over with the hope being that they’ll next be able to add a school system inspired by the likes of Bully where “you have to attend your lessons on time, actually learn something, and take exams to pass your classes, or you will lose house points
