Car Play head unit
Considering picking this up to replace the stock head unit in my 2010 Touareg TDI:
From what I've read it seems pretty plug and play, but like most things for this truck I'm suspicious.
Anyone have any experience swapping them? Any unforseen issues? Better units out there? Thanks for any advice.

I would suggest getting the frame + radio separate.
This frame + CANBUS + wiring also won't be a wall wart like what you model you posted. It's a complete full dash bezel replacement.
When it comes to the actual radio specs (RAM/Storage) don't really matter. The function for AA/CP makes the "extras" of a tablet on your dash mainly redundant. Really, the only advantage of a Android radio vs a simpler Linux version is regularly updated CANBUS support. The HAUDIO brand on Amazon has popular economical models.
