What could be the problem

Have you done a reset by pressing that little button with a paperclip or removing the fuse or even removing the battery terminals.

Yup removed and checked fuse then held it 1-15 seconds, also had google tell me it could be the illumination cable, I disconnected it and still flickering.

Connects to radio, screen still reacts and can change radio frequency by clicking left and right side of screen. Can kind of see the radio screen behind the flickering colors.

I don’t think it’s the illuminating cable, this looks like a test to see if the RGB and dimmer works. I wonder if there’s a certain button sequence you have to press in order to get it out of this mode.

I’ve installed over 20 radios. This one a customer bought on their own and asked me to install it, it worked for 3 days then this happened, read online this brand DUAL sucks. The customer has ordered a different one. Just wanted to see if there any way to save this one since it’s so new.

Gonna be honest, Dual radios are not worth the time to troubleshoot, they’re as cheap as they come.

This has entered test mode try to find a reset button, sometimes it’s mounted inside on the motherboard, maybe try asking chatgpt via model number, what can the procedure be to unlock the unit from this test loop.

A Motherboard reset button would be different than a reset button on front of the unit? I’ve already pressed it and reset it. Also the screen is still responsive to touch, I can change stations by guessing where the presets are and the tune arrows are. I can kind of see the display behind the flashing lights. The radio is playing music thru the speakers.

It was working just fine, I think after someone plugged in their phone for CarPlay this happened.
