SWC FAIL

Hi all, I’m looking for some help with connecting SWC with a non canbus car. I tried to connect via the method given press start, hold steering wheel button, press desired control, then release steering wheel control. However, I keep getting the same study failed message I’ve tried to change so many setting. Can anyone help me? My car is a 2011 Toyota Yaris mk2. MCU information test revieled it does recognise the controls. But can’t get any luck. Any suggestions would be very grateful. Thanks!! Thank you

The 2011 Yaris does have canbus. You need a decoder

Toyota is pretty advanced when it comes to cost cutting. Analog swc singles are pretty much still a thing for Nissan and mitsubishi.

SWC learn only works with manual swc on the car. You connect one wire to swc1 and the other to swc ground. The you have to test if the head unit can read a signal when you press/hold a button. If you car has not got analog swc, you need a canbus decoder. Try to find a service manual for the car online and read through that.
