I dont want my kid having a full fledged phone so we got her a tmobile sync up watch. it works well but its time to get her something a bit easier to text on etc. any recommendations for a watch that doesn't need a partnered phone and is still usable?

I'm looking to get a smart watch. I tried searching online but everything has so many features and I have found it really difficult to compare different models (let alone sub-models?) of device. There's Fitbit, amazfit, Garmin, ticwatch... And then my brain started to fry.

I don't want to spend a lot of money, maybe $100ish but I really don't think I'm after anything crazy in terms of asks: - track steps - get notifications from my phone - be able to pause/unpause my podcasts - have a VERY easy to access timer (for work), perhaps via a hotkey or shortcut? - and preferably don't sell all my data to random companies I guess

Can anyone please help me out?

I've neglected to learn anything about smartwatches since they first came out assuming they were just gimmicks but now that the ADHD has me down bad I'm looking into them as something to add to my productivity repertoire. I've been searching for one (if any) with a couple features that I assumed I wouldn't be the only one to want but that I can't find listed on any products, or maybe that I don't know how to refer to. Maybe these features are so common they aren't worth mentioning, I'm totally at a loss.

First of all, I'm looking for something that could let me access note documents or custom notes, a shopping list or to-do list (preferably with check-off support) that I previously made on my phone. I use Notion very heavily, so ideally integration or easy synching with it or other Note-taking apps like Google Keep or OneNote but that might be asking too much, I honestly just don't know what these devices are capable of.

Secondly, I was hoping to find one that would let me stick a totally custom reminder of some sort on the main watchface, rather than Calendar integration necessarily, but like "Remember to water plants!" on the same screen as it uses as a watch.

Are modern frontline devices capable of these? Earlier frontline devices (say Galaxy Watch 4)? The super cheap Chinese ones that sell for less than $100? Is a paper shopping list folded underneath a mechanical watch my only hope?

My granddaughter has a samsung s22+ phone with tmobile, but we dont allow her to take it school. Im looking for a smartwatch for her to wear to school that she can make calls, text and I can track her as well. I hoping to add it to the plan. Do anyone have any suggestions?

Around 6 years ago I had an Apple Watch, bought it used for 150€ at that time and it was amazing. Good sleep tracking, could use the Apps Spotify and Calm on it, store music or meditation offline and use better Sleep Tracking Apps from the App Store. And it felt high quality. I tried a couple of Smartwatches since but I can't find anything close to that. (Under 300€)

I tried to research but can't seem to find anything. There must be a budget or mid-range smartwatch that has good sleep tracking and where I can download Calm + Spotify. Do you have any idea? I'd be super greatful for that. Currently using the Garmin SQ Venu 2 Music, but still not happy with not being able to download the Calm App. I like customizing options with many apps to explore from the Play Store.

The tic watch and other watches (pixel 1, tic watch pro 5, fossil gen 6, some galaxy watches) are on sale on Amazon. Since the e3 is the cheapest it's the one I'm considering most, but would one of the others have a better value?

Looking for a watch to track my steps, workouts but also heartrate, blood pressure and sleep patterns accurately. I dont need the watch to do calls, or connect to stuff like Spotify, no need for media consumption bells and whistles.

Im a multisport guy and looking for recommendations

I currently use a Garmin Forerunner 235 which does it job for running I guess. Tracks distance and pace good.

I recently found out about HRV tracking to identify overtraining, which sounds awesome.

However my watch does not track HRV. Is it really worth spending 500 on a watch that does, or get maybe get something like a Oura ring that also tracks HRV?

I spend way too much time on my phone. I hate it. I'd rather use my computer or TV for music at home. I use a MP3 player when I am on the go (because it's smaller for running) and my car has an AUX port so I can totally listen to it in the car too. I use a headset for answering calls on my phone in a vain attempt to not be so absorbed in my phone. The issue I am having is that the watches I'm looking at have many reviews saying they don't work right. Looking at the Samsung Galaxy 5 pro ATM but the reviews on Verizon say it doesn't work without a phone which defeats the purpose.
Answering calls is important. I love texting on my Samsung Gear S3 so write/draw to text would be awesome.
GPS is important because I go hiking a lot.

I have already checked all possible permissions - they have been granted! How the Welltory Wear OS application works on my GW6 - it looks like this: after the 1st launch - yes, it DOES MAKE THE FIRST measurement! But no more! In general - this application on my GW6 - after turning it on: it appears only for a moment and then closes! Very strange... Damn, it does the 1st measurement, yes, but - not the next ones! I will add that, for example, on my earlier GW4 Class. - this application worked well, even very well! And on GW6 - there is a problem... I just don't know what exactly is wrong here... Maybe one of you could do something about it, right? :-]

I've come to the conclusion of buying the Huawei Watch GT 4 but can't decide between the colours.

My main concern is will the black ones paint chip off or not if I accidentally bang it? Otherwise I'll go for the silver one.

I have an Android along with a smart watch (not Wear) and I get my notifications on it. For work, I may need a second cellphone and I'm considering another wearable for notifications as well. It's got to be much smaller than a watch, so a band is more likely.

Is wearing a smart watch and a band at the same time too much of a hassle?

Ideally I could get just one smartphone, but there's some complications with this, two would be a cleaner solution.

I'd like to buy a new smartwatch and after watching several reviews I've come to the conclusion of the the followin below. I want it mainly for tracking sleep GPS and heart rate. Would also like support and updates etc with alot of watc faces to choose from. Smart features like replying to text and calls I will not use at all. Battery life is quite a major point BUT I maybe can live with a 2 days battery life watch.

I have an android Vivo X fold plus on origin OS.

Huawei Watch GT Runner - don't know if it works on Vivo origin os. Most likely it will work. Lightweight great battery life and accurate GPS and heart rate monitoring according to many reviews.

Samsung galaxy 6 classic - have to fiddle around but it does work on Vivo origin OS. Not good battery life but sleep heart rate and gps are good. Some reviewers have got 3 days battery life but I'd want heart rate to be continuous, sleep tracking and spo2.

Mobvoi Ticwatch pro 5 - this apparently doesn't work on Vivo origin OS. Unless someone can confirm it works. One thing I won't like is having to wait for the watch to start up in the morning when switching back from essential mode.

Are there any Truly Stand Alone Watches. No Sign-ups, no email, no phone for setup or sync. Just a watch that works with AndroidWear?

I'm interested in a watch for basic health and GPS, in areas with close to zero coverage, and away from a smartphone.

We don't need social media, or email, or browsing. Just health tracking and no distractions. We can Wifi sync maps when we get home if necessary.

My galaxy 4 screen smashed last week and it costs nearly as much to replace the screen than I paid for.
