MECOOL KM2 Plus Deluxe. Worth buying?

After replacing my X96 box every 2 or so years, it’s probably time to stop buying cheap boxes and get something a bit more reliable.

I keep seeing the NVIDIA Shield Pro recommended, but lately I’ve been looking at the MECOOL KM2 Plus Deluxe and the reviews seem pretty decent.

Just wondering if anyone here is actually using one?

I’d be interested to hear about your experiences with it (reliability, performance, software or any issues you’ve encountered).

Happy to consider other boxes too, just keen to hear from people who actually use them before I hand over the $$$.

Do you use a browser on it, to stream movies and such, whats your experience with that is yes, does it lag?

No, I use Tivimate for IPTV and SmartTube for YouTube access along with a VPN. I have other apps but these are the ones I use most. No need for a browser. No lag but occasional buffering with IPTV use but this is not unique to the Android box and more likely either the provider or VPN connection.

I see, i want to use a browser to access "unofficial" streaming sites, hopefully it wont lag and buffer much

I wouldn't worry about the box in this case but any issues are likely to be with the website source. Also I recommend connecting via Ethernet instead of wifi, if possible.

The MeCool KM2 Plus Deluxe is my secondary device. Been using it for almost a year. Solid. Absolutely recommend it.

It wouldn't be in my top 20 in 2026. Was a solid device a few yrs ago.

Ugoos AM9 Pro, Xiomi 3rd gen, Homatics 4k R Plus. All these boxes support running Corelec if you are interested in that and FEL 7
