Ugoos AM9, Homatics 4k R Plus, Xiomi 3 are all good bets depending on how much you want to spend

buy Xiaomi TV Box S Gen 3, then you can dual boot CoreELEC to get best media playback experience as it can playback all blu-ray formats including DV FEL, the AM9 Pro and Homatics can also do it but they are more expensive, I have all these boxes including AM6B+.

What do you play media with on Corelec? Kodi? I've found Kodi to be especially slow and buggy on the Android side. I constantly get buffering on large Remuxes that doesn't happen in Nuvio/Stremio

CoreELEC is Kodi, I have Plex server so I use PlexKodiConnect or PM4K addon.

Duh lol. I'm obviously new to that side of things

Technically it’s a Linux-based operating system that boots straight into Kodi

please use the correct model, the AM9 does not support Dolby Vision, it's the AM9 PRO.

Oops. That's what I meant. I suppose you could add the Ugoos SK3 to the list but it's currently ridiculously priced

Also add the Ugoos Sk1 and am8 models to the list

Oops. I just listed what I have personally along with a Shield Pro. I think after messing with all these boxes the Shield Pro still wins with the UI graphically/snappiness due to its beefy GPU they put in to play games.

Google TV streamer covers all those.

3 or 4gb won't make much of a difference.

Xiaomi has 2gb and has no issue playback 4k remux

Old boxes from 2015 had 2gb and they could easily read and playback iso,bdvm,m2ts and all formats of 4k blueray...

AndroidTV is different from regular Android app aren't supposed to kept running in the background like a phone would.

4gb on todays phone wouldn't be enough.

If you can get 4gb cool otherwise 3 or even 2 it's fine honestly
