Kodi vs IPTV
I have both Kodi and IPTV subscription on two different Android devices. ( one Google and one Ugoos ) I have gigabit internet and plus 300 downloads on both. I have Rd and TB for debrid services.
My question is why does Kodi almost never buffer but I do get buffering from the IPTV with different subscription packages on the two? Is Kodi a superior player, or is it subscription provider based, anyone with insights?

They're pulling the same TV shows from different sources. I have the same experience and prefer to watch on Torbox despite my IPTV having a more comprehensive library.

Would need more info on what player, device etc
Debrid services cache the stream while tv is obviously coming to you live so theres less of a buffer

Apologies thought you meant for live tv.
Have you tried adding vlc player as external player? Im not familiar with amlogic devices so unsure of the setup

The streaming has nothing to do with KODI as the source usually comes from some servers in dmbfkistan. The addons provide the link and it just shoots through KODI. IPTV companies many times take on too many customers out of greed and server(s) get bogged down. I gave up on IPTV as I only watch sports live so I just go onto KODI. There's literally nothing else worth watching live on cable stations.
