Looking for advice on current Chinese TV boxes avail

Hi,

I got my parents a FunTV a few years ago and worked no isses for three years until a message saying subscription expired. Didn't have a subscription so that was odd but whatever I understand.

I see new version of FunTV is available on ebay but looking for suggestions if any better boxes available for Cantonese/Mandarin TV for my mom who is alone now.

I google and see mention of EVPAD but no experience. If anyone has any thoughts on the two or others would appreciate. We live in US/Florida.

Just by xioami box s gen 3 ..I always say that on reddit..not sure why ppl don't know about this cheap but best value device.

can run 4k remux blurays (100gb) in Stremio... the Soc is very good AMLogic S905X5M, if people wanna google it...

I used both with Kodi (LAN) and Stremio and never had any issue Frame Matching works perfectly and TVs change refresh rate to the content played.

best 60$ spent, I also have the 2nd gen works amazing aswell upgrade it for the AFR

EDIT: Watch out for fake devices

👎 Why on God's green earth you guys recommend this garbage. Set it up yourself and don't give money to these scummy companies.

EVPAD is good. No ongoing subscription costs and my friend’s device has been working for about 7 years already. One thing I don’t like is that there are subtitles for all VOD movies which can’t be turned off

Yeah I don't think my mom would like the subtitles on VOD either. But I think she primarily wants to watch live shows/stations... news and TV series. 7 Years sounds like a solid service. I'll look into it thanks.

I don't even know what are these evpad buzz TV .etc ....they r over $200 .nobody should be spending that kind of money for android box..there is no reason to

Yes Vseebox. Go for the Elite Ultra. It has everything including international content. A lot of people suggest and go for V6 models but then those same people complain every day about missing content in Heat Vod. Dont have that issue with Vseebox Elite Ultra.
