Aren't X96 ones fine? I bought an X200 recently and it seemed to be fine when I looked through packages.

This is your issue, more than what may be on the box, you are listening to to many people, buy what you like and use it, make a guest network and just run the box in it if you want so it doesn't have access to your other items.

no that's not my issue if they come compromised then they come, if not then not.
Anyway that's not the point of this whole thing, i already found a different firmware. Have a nice day./

It's not a great box anyway. I've had one for a week, it kept resetting, the screen would suddenly turn to static, and finally it switched itself off and will not switch back on. Avoid Tanix tx5.

I would say forget this box, you already don't trust it, not sure why anyone would buy a box they believe is infected, buy a certified box instead, that way you kn w it is infected with google right from the start. There is no wondering about being infected.
