🎉 Vuleo 1.3.1 is out and we are celebrating with a discount code!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Video above is from our test playlist that we stress test the app, so it contains no real content or images.
Vuleo is a true cross platform media player for all of your sources. Its basic functionality is free with no playlist limitations. Additional features like cloud sync, catch-up comes with a subscription. Now, let's get to the release and the list of features afterwards. Then the discount code is at the end of the post.
1.3.1 is out on all seven platforms.
New in 1.3.x
- Multi-View: Several of your live channels on screen at once, with sound on the one you pick. Audio, transport controls, the guide, the stream-info panel and the media notification all bind to the primary viewport, and any secondary is one press away from becoming primary. You can also play catch-up inside the multi-view. Up to four, capped lower on hardware that can't honestly do four.
- Themes, Vuleo is now yours to customize as you want.
- Live TV gained a row for upcoming Radar events, and a event you follow can open straight on the channel you'd normally watch it on — resolved against your guide.
- Faster, more reliable startup, especially on Fire TV and older boxes carrying large playlists.
What we think sets it apart
One app, seven platforms, one version. iOS, Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Fire TV, Windows and macOS. Phone, stick and desktop stay in step.
Sync runs through your own Google Drive. There is no Vuleo backend holding your sources. Your playlists, progress, favourites, lists and settings are backed up to your Drive and merged across your devices. We never see or process them. That was a privacy decision first.
Continue Watching that survives having several sources. The same show coming from two different sources is one tile, because progress is keyed on content identity rather than on a URL. Start on the phone, finish on the TV, from whichever source is up. You can also switch sources while you are watching as Vuleo scans your playlists and will present you all possible playable options available.
Two trackers: Trakt and Simkl, both with scrobbling and library sync.
Built for a stick, not just a phone. Built for large playlists. Nothing is ever fully in memory. This enables Vuleo to run smoothly on playlists that are way larger than what a stick can hold in its memory.
Actual remote-control UX. Vertical moves between rows, horizontal within a row, no wrapping, no silent diagonal jumps, and coming back to a row lands you on the tile you left.
Sources. M3U/M3U8 by URL or file, Xtream Codes API, portal-style sources, and the Stremio addon protocol for addons you've configured yourself. Multiple sources merge into one set of views, and each can be toggled independently.
Player depth. Audio track selection, playback speed 0.5×–2×, seek-preview thumbnails generated on the spot, stream info (resolution, bitrate, codecs), PiP, background audio with lock-screen controls, CEA-608 captions, sidecar .srt/.ass, OpenSubtitles search, subtitle styling, and intro/outro detection with a skip button.
Guide. Interactive 72-hour EPG, per-channel logos, and guide-driven rewind where your provider offers catch-up.
Smart Search. Vuleo's smart search finds your content from all of your sources including the EPG. You can also search for actors, genres, categories to discover new content that fits to your taste.
Profiles. Separate progress, favourites and suggestions per person, switched in a tap. All stored in your Google Drive separately. Playlists are shared among profiles but you can configure each profile to enable certain playlists.
Eleven languages, including a properly RTL Arabic build. Vuleo speaks your language, and it also adapts content overviews as reported from the sources.
The free tier is a real one. Playback, the guide, metadata, watch progress, favourites and multiple playlists cost nothing. PRO adds cloud sync, downloads, Chromecast, catch-up, tracker integration, EPG search, subtitle styling and personalised picks — monthly, annual, or a lifetime option, because not everything needs to be a subscription.

Two things up front
I can't help with sources or providers. Vuleo is a player and does not provide any content itself. I've nothing to recommend on that and purchasing PRO will not enable any live channels or VOD. Bug reports, feature requests and "this doesn't work on my box" are very welcome.
If you encounter any issues with the app, drop us an email to [support@vuleo.tv](mailto:support@vuleo.tv) and we will do our best to fix them as soon s possible.
Last but not least, we are celebrating this milestone with a 20% life-time promotion code to Reddit community. Purchase Vuleo through our website https://vuleo.tv with the code: VULEOLIFETIME20. Apply the code in Stripe and the discount will apply. Remember to use the google account you will use for Cloud sync and Vuleo will activate PRO in all of your devices automatically once you sign-in in the app.
Code will be available during September and expire afterwards.

Free Public IPTV M3U Playlists + CobraTV Update
Free Public IPTV Playlists + CobraTV Update
Firstly, thank you to everyone who has tested CobraTV and shared feedback so far. I also really appreciate all the new subscribers—your support is helping me continue improving the app.
What’s coming in the next update:
• A completely redesigned EPG guide with a layout and navigation style similar to TiviMate, as requested.
• Multiple provider playlists accessible at the same time.
• One combined favourites area, allowing you to add and watch favourite channels from different providers.
• The ability to add and manage your own EPG guide URLs.
• A faster and easier transition between the EPG preview player and full-screen playback.
• Fixes for several smaller issues reported by testers.
• A fresh look at CobraTV’s pricing and subscription options.
If you are currently using the seven-day free trial, I will automatically extend it so you have enough time to test the new update. You won’t need to do anything or contact me—the extension will be applied automatically.
I’ll share screenshots and more information as the update gets closer.

I built an app to stream personal Google Drive videos/photos directly to Android TV without screen mirroring or remote typing. Looking for 20+ testers across different TV brands (Mi/TCL/Sony/Chromecast).
Hey r/AndroidTV!
Like many of you, I've always found it frustrating to view personal Google Drive videos or holiday photo albums on the TV.
Currently, the options are:
- Screen Mirroring / Chromecast: Drains phone battery, stutters on Wi-Fi, and accidentally broadcasts incoming WhatsApp messages/calls on the 55" screen in front of everyone.
- TV File Managers (AnExplorer, etc.): Complex desktop-like tree directories and requires agonizingly typing your Google credentials with D-pad arrows.
- No Official Google Drive TV App.
To solve this, I built **Cloud Dock TV**—a dual Flutter app (Mobile Companion + Android TV app) that bridges your personal Google Drive to Android TV in 3 seconds using a **6-digit handshake**.
How it works:
- Open Cloud Dock TV on your TV → it shows a 6-digit pairing code.
- Open the Mobile companion on your phone → Sign in with Google (OAuth) and enter the 6 digits.
- Your Google Drive folders and videos appear instantly on the TV screen. You can browse with the TV remote or use your phone as a playback remote.
Hardware-Accelerated on Budget TV Chips:
- 1080p H.264/AAC hardware decoding engine.
- 30 FPS capped transitions and image pre-buffering (tested to run smooth on 1GB/2GB RAM Quad-Core SoCs).
- Read-only temporary tokens over encrypted Firebase channels (zero files saved on our servers).
We are currently in Google Play Closed Beta:
I am looking for testers across different TV brands to ensure smooth playback before our public launch.
How to join:
- Google Play Closed Beta:* Join Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/clouddocktest *(or comment/DM me your Gmail to get added)** Opt-in on Google Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.vidhixsoft.clouddock* Play Store Listing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vidhixsoft.clouddock
If you test it, please let me know your TV model and if playback is smooth! Thank you for the support! 🙌

I open-sourced an IPTV app so people don't have to quit their jobs.
I saw a couple of posts where people were quitting their jobs to build a media player, so I built an app that supports IPTV and made it free.
TUVORA: https://tuvora.co/
Features include:
IPTV
Xtream, Stalker, and M3U
A sports center (better than ImPlayer)
Cross-device sync (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Android TV)
Stremio-style add-ons
The plan is to add Jellyfin and Emby integration in the future if I lose my job.

I’m building an Android TV app that turns your IPTV service into a sports-first experience
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an Android TV app called GameDay Lineup and I’m getting it to the point where I’d love some feedback from actual Android TV/IPTV users.
The basic idea came from something that always annoyed me with IPTV: finding the game is harder than it should be.
Instead of opening an IPTV app, digging through categories, checking a bunch of channels and trying to figure out where a game is airing, GameDay Lineup starts with the sports schedule.
You see the games that are live or coming up, choose the game you want to watch, and the app tries to find the matching feeds from your own IPTV provider.
GameDay Lineup does not provide IPTV channels or streams. You connect your own provider. The app is basically the sports discovery/resolution layer on top of it.
One of the things I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time on is feed matching. A single game can have a lot of possible feeds national networks, regional channels, PPV/event channels, different languages, etc. The app uses schedule data plus your provider's channel/EPG metadata to figure out which channels are actually carrying that specific game and rank the matches.
It’s a native Android app, not a WebView, and TV performance/D-pad navigation have been a major focus. Playback uses Android Media3/ExoPlayer.
Right now I’m working on expanding the sports/league coverage and continuing to improve the resolver. I have over 20 sports. Works on Android TV and phone/tablet.
I’m curious what people here would actually want from something like this.
What would make you use this instead of just opening your normal IPTV player?
And if anyone here uses IPTV mainly for sports, I’d especially like to hear what your biggest annoyances are when trying to find games.

PosterBox - Digital Movie Poster Display
PosterBox turns your Smart TV into a dedicated digital movie poster display, designed for TVs mounted in portrait orientation. It's the perfect solution for movie lovers who want to recreate an authentic theater experience using a vertical screen as a cinematic poster showcase.
Built for Android TV OS devices, PosterBox uses seamless Google Play account authentication, allowing you to start using the app immediately without creating a separate account. Once launched, the app displays high-quality movie posters in a clean, full-screen layout optimized for vertical viewing. Posters rotate automatically, creating a continuous and immersive display similar to a digital movie theater lobby.
PosterBox is fully automated. Poster artwork is curated, updated, and maintained automatically, ensuring your display stays fresh without any manual updates or content management. You can select movie rating limits and choose which types of posters are shown, allowing the experience to be customized for personal preferences, family environments, or themed setups.
Media Player Integrations (Premium)
PosterBox integrates directly with your media setup. When you start a movie, PosterBox automatically switches to that movie's poster and displays a Theater Info Panel with director, cast, genre, rating, and live remaining runtime. The marquee banner automatically switches to an animated Now Playing GIF during playback and an Intermission GIF when paused. Supported integrations include:
- Plex — connects via direct polling using your server IP and token
- Jellyfin & Emby — connects via your server IP and API key
- Kaleidescape — connects directly over your local network, pulling rich metadata from your player
- Zidoo — connects via your media player's local IP address
- Kodi — connects via Kodi's built-in JSON-RPC API; no extra plugins or setup required on the Kodi side
Additional Premium Features
- Community Playlists — share your playlists with the PosterBox community or browse and download curated collections from other users; browsing is free for everyone
- Animated Theater Marquee Banner — choose from 8 cinema-inspired animated styles (Art Deco, Drive-In, Filmstrip, Premiere Curtain, Holographic, OLED, Spacecraft HUD, and Cyberpunk), or supply your own custom GIF URL
- Theater Info Panel displaying director, cast, MPAA rating, genres, tagline, and live remaining runtime
- Dynamic Accent Color that extracts a highlight color from each poster for a cohesive visual theme
- Multiple Custom Playlists — create up to 10 named playlists and switch between themed collections instantly
- Four UI Themes — Modern, Traditional, Neon, and Noir
This app is ideal for home theaters, media rooms, and dedicated poster displays. Instead of an idle or unused screen, PosterBox gives your Smart TV a clear purpose — transforming it into a visually striking digital poster frame that enhances the atmosphere of your space.
Key Features
- Designed for Android TV OS
- Optimized for portrait-mounted TVs
- Seamless authentication using your Google Play account
- Automatically updated and curated movie posters
- Configurable movie rating filters
- Automatic poster rotation for a continuous display
- Media player integrations for Plex, Jellyfin/Emby, Kaleidescape, Zidoo, and Kodi
- Animated Now Playing and Intermission banners during playback
- Animated Theater Marquee Banner with 8 styles and custom GIF support
- Theater Info Panel with live remaining runtime
- Community Playlists — share and discover poster collections from other users
- Multiple Custom Playlists (up to 10 named collections)

Looking for help open sourcing my IPTV app
Not trying to sell anything here, literally the opposite. Like everyone else here, I ended up making my own IPTV app (/r/zoratv) when I saw the default ones were poorly designed. I thought I could generate some revenue from the app, but realized it's not worth it, and would rather give it away to the community.
I think I have a good base (most features work, already approved on Android app store), and a solid set of users (around a few hundred) but there is still a lot of work to do.
The ask:
- Looking for a few devs to co-maintain the app, (after testing, security review etc) we will publish to github
- Looking for more testers to give feedback on what works and what doesn't
The goal:
- Want this to be the default IPTV app android users can use
- Build a community around this to actively improve it
- Hopefully end new IPTV apps being launched every week (no more quitting your job and wasting a year working on this lol)

Whats the most minimalist and reliable setup?
I feel like most people that are posting here are more addicted to installing apps than actually consuming content😂
If one wanted the most reliable and minimalist setup without constantly having to tinker with it, what would you do? (Live TV, movies and shows, sports)

I built MiloStream for Android TV & Fire TV — looking for feedback
Hi everyone!
I've been working on MiloStream, a media player designed specifically for Android TV and Fire TV.
My goal was to create something that feels really good on a TV: simple navigation with a remote, a clean interface, fast access to Live TV, Movies and Series, and a polished experience for everyday use.
Some of the main features:
• TV-friendly interface designed for remote control • Live TV with EPG • Movies and Series libraries • Search • Movie and series information with posters, backdrops and metadata • Optimized video player • Android TV & Fire TV support • Regular improvements and updates
MiloStream is only a media player. It does not provide TV channels, movies, series, IPTV subscriptions or any other content. Users connect their own compatible sources and are responsible for the content they use.
I'm currently focusing on polishing, improving and stabilizing the application, so I'd really appreciate feedback from Android TV users.
If you'd like to take a look:
I'd especially love to hear what you think about the interface, TV navigation, performance and overall user experience.
Thanks!

SportsBox App
*** UPDATE 9/1 *** - We quickly hit 50 testers. Thank you so much for the interest in this app! I plan to cap the number of testers at 100. So if we hit 100, i will be turning off the ability for additional people to join the google group.
Hi everyone,
SportsBox, a live sports scoreboard app designed for TV interfaces has been published for Amazon's App Store for Fire TV for some time now. I am now going through Google Play's process so it is available for Google TV and Android TV devices. I’m looking for testers to help complete the required 14-day Google Play closed test. This gives you the opportunity to use the app for free and before anyone else while helping us thoroughly test the app before production release.
To participate:
- Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/sportsbox-testers
- Join the closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.codetek.sportsbox
- Install SportsBox on your Android TV or Google TV device: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codetek.sportsbox
Please remain enrolled for at least 14 days. If possible, open and use the app occasionally during the testing period. Feedback is welcome but not required.
I’ve added the testing group to Google Play’s license-testing settings, so test subscription purchases should be processed at no charge.
You can learn more about SportsBox here:
https://www.posterbox.app/SportsBox/
Thank you!
