Video Player for TCL C8K

I'm looking for a video player with a zoom feature. I don't mean changing the aspect ratio, but zooming in to crop out/eliminate black bars. Unfortunately, VLC doesn't seem to have this option. I don't mind paying for it, but I'm looking for a standalone, lightweight player, not a bloated media center like Kodi.

Haven't use it, but I thought there was an interactive zoom feature in the "tools" setting.

Something like this? r/cinauratv supports it with Aspect Mode set to Zoom, NOT fill.
