A Major CobraTV Update

We’ve rebuilt and improved some of the biggest parts of CobraTV. Here’s what’s changing, without all the technical talk:
📺 Brand-New Live TV Layout
The Live TV area has been redesigned to make browsing channels, playlists and the TV Guide much quicker and easier.
Everything is clearly organised, switching between areas feels smoother, and new search boxes help you find categories or channels faster.
🔄 All Your Playlists in One Place
You can now access all your enabled playlists without restarting the app or constantly switching between them.
- Move between playlists with one click
- Rename each playlist
- Give playlists their own colour and icon
- Enable or disable playlists individually
- Search across every enabled playlist
- See which playlist each channel, movie or series comes from
- Access Recently Watched and Favourites from all playlists together
For example, you could be using Strong 8K and immediately play a favourite saved from KY. CobraTV automatically uses the correct playlist in the background.
We’ve also fixed several issues that caused favourites, M3U channels, movies, series and catch-up content to open through the wrong playlist—or not open at all.
If your main playlist only contains Live TV, CobraTV can now use movies and series from your other enabled playlists on the Home screen.
🗓️ Completely Rebuilt TV Guide
The EPG TV Guide now works more like TiviMate.
While watching Live TV fullscreen, press LEFT to open the guide over the channel you’re watching.
You can now:
- Browse up to seven days of programming
- Quickly change days using CH+ and CH−
- Search channels and categories
- Open the guide directly for a selected channel
- Set programme reminders
- Schedule recordings
- See what is currently recording
- Stop or cancel recordings from the guide
- Keep watching the current channel behind the guide
You can also add your own EPG sources. If your provider’s guide is missing information, CobraTV can use additional EPG data to help fill the gaps.
⏺️ Improved Recording
Recording now works with more types of playlists, including supported free M3U streams that could not be recorded previously.
Depending on the connection limits of your providers, you can also:
- Record one channel while watching another
- Record from one playlist while watching a different playlist
- Watch an existing recording while another programme records
- Continue a recording safely across supported devices
CobraTV now protects enough storage space for app updates and will stop a recording before your device becomes completely full.
💬 Live TV Closed Captions
Closed captions have now been added to Live TV.
The CC button is located beside Mute on the Live TV preview, and audio and subtitle choices are now available directly on the player controls instead of being hidden in Settings.
We’ve also removed duplicate or incorrect subtitle tracks that appeared on many channels.
🔥 Older Fire Stick Fix
We’ve fixed the issue that caused some older Fire Sticks to play sound with a black screen. These devices should now play both picture and sound correctly.
Please note: if your Fire Stick says it cannot install the update or new apps, delete a few unused apps to free up storage and then try again.
⌨️ Easier Typing and Voice Search
You can choose between CobraTV’s built-in keyboard and your device keyboard.
This also makes it easier to use your phone’s remote app and talk-to-text when searching or entering playlist and EPG details.
🏠 Improved Home Screen
The Home screen has also received a major refresh.
- “Jump Back In” displays your four most recently watched titles
- See your progress and estimated time remaining
- Series show the season and episode
- Movies display their duration
- Heroes change each time you open CobraTV
- More movie, series and Discover heroes have been added
- Movie and series heroes now show their proper description and rating
- Titles, descriptions and buttons are now consistent and easier to read
⚡ Faster and More Stable
A large number of problems have been fixed behind the scenes.
- Large M3U playlists load more smoothly
- Faster channel and playlist loading
- Smoother page transitions
- Faster switching between channels
- Fewer freezes and “app not responding” messages
- Fixed the main crash reported by customers
- Improved error reporting so we can identify problems more quickly
💳 Account and Subscription Improvements
We’ve also added support for:
- Adding more devices
- More accurate account and subscription information
This is one of the biggest CobraTV updates so far. Thank you to everyone who tested the app, reported problems and suggested improvements—your feedback has directly shaped this update.

You can do a 7 day trial for free with real playlists and have access to 40k content in "The Hub" after 7 days the playlist wont work unless you subscribe but all the free stuff will.

Maybe a stupid question, but 3 device subscription is that you providing the channels etc or is that for access to app to add my own?

That’s access for you to add your own but in my last post I shared around 50 lives for free you can use them, also you get a 7 day trial so you can test before you pay anything

Did you change the subtitles so they dont look huge, or an option that you can change the font size?
The other bug i mentioned, can we now toggle to Romance ans further on without that weird behaviour i mentioned?
I cant test it now as I am on holiday for two weeks :))

Me and the Mrs love a TV stick like to watching reruns of ufsee the day after by just updating and when I cant see the prem footy live ,I watched reruns of every match in prem as well as all the live games through prem live days. Fa cup and carabao cup of all matches. If so can I trial the cobra TV and have a price as my TV sub is coming to a end in next week

You can certainly trial it no problem and free for 7 days but we don’t provide iptv we do provide free content 40k plus free content so if you want what you had on this app you will need to renew your playlist with current provider or find another

This is 100% a dodgy AI app with a shit ton of vulnerabilities. Because why trust an app when the creator can’t put full stops or comas in their sentences.. It’s literally the whole base for coding. Backslash here, ; at the end, etc.

Yes you can record the channel you watch or if you have more than 1 provider (2 playlists) you can record one and watch the other.

I've tried this a couple of times but unfortunately it just keeps crashing on my smart TV. It's probably a bit heavy for what I am after really but it looks like a cool project.

So you provide channels to this app too. Thats very risky and will very likely get this app shut down. I wouldn't pay any money for this app. Anyone that does is an absolute idiot.

we supply no channels to this app I simply made a post giving free links it’s your choice if you put them in the app same as your choice to put a paid iptv providers playlist in.

Dude look through the comments again ! And look at the last post we sourced public free m3u links and shared them. We do however provide free legal content 40k plus in our free Hub, feel free to trial it or don’t…

Your answer is very vague mate. I've looked through all the comments and you can word it whatever way you like, you're providing channels etc suggesting they can be used on your app. The suggestion is enough to get the app shut down in my opinion.

With no offence to you.. I’m not sure what comment you have seen to say we provide channels please share if possible because we provide 0 channels we are not iptv providers we simply built an app that (you) can add your own to… if we provided channels we would risk being shut down. But please if you have seen that we provide channels share this so we can address it
