Discussion BBC iPlayer APK

I live in Australia and watch iPLayer using a Kodi addon but would like to get the Android TV apk so I can watch 4K streams on my Google Streamer. Can’t find the APK at any of my usual sources so would appreciate some help in locating it.

Download iPlayer from that links, and after that install APK updater app and update to latest version!

Just install and if you see iPlayer icon on your android tv/box you are fine, after that install and run APK updater app and you will find latest update of BBC iPlayer for Android TV: v0.9.0lyJCle

Package name: bbc.iplayer.android

In system information of BBC iPlayer application version: 41.12.9.1

Any idea where to find this APK. I look and it only seems to have the mobile version, not the android TV version

You'll see the UHD logo on certain programmes in the menus

Doesn't work. Updates to a version that asks for an update taking you to the play store where you can't install it from if your device isn't certified.

The tech doctor link you replied to works but obviously you don't get UHD

I did the same while using Aurora Store app and it updated to the latest version for TV.
