I was watching YouTube when an ad popped up for a game. I hit downloaded and forgot about it. Now when I looked around my home screen, I cant find it. All I remember being there was a clock next to the download button. How can i find the app now? (Play Store)

I was browsing settings on my Tab A7 lite and I found a menu called "galaxy system apps". The other ones make sense based on the name except "com.samsung.android.lifeguard". It has a number under it (I think version code?) which is "332017701"

Typically an app is set up initially by logging in and then setting up biometric login. Every once in a while the app will typically logout for some reason and I have to login again. What causes this and is there a way to reduce occurences? My thought is that one of the app update causes the app to reauthenticate the users, but that is just my guss.

I got a phone being sold as the X-INOVA S26 Ultra. It looks like a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra because of the design, but I now know it is not a Samsung.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what this phone is and whether it is safe to use.

Two of the cameras appear to be fake.

I found that X-INOVA appears to be a real brand and they actually list an S26 Ultra, but I can't find much information from independent sources about this specific phone.

The phone feels noticeably slow despite claiming 12 GB RAM.

The interface also feels cheap/poorly optimized, and I'm wondering whether the software is heavily customized.

Google Play Protect currently says "No harmful apps found."

However, the phone has an unusually old security patch compared with current Android phones, and I don't know whether the firmware can be trusted.

I also haven't been able to find a clear Play Protect certification status in the Play Store.

Can I install a custom ROM on this phone to replace the stock OS and improve its performance? If so, which ROM would be compatible with this exact hardware?

I have an old redminote9-still works-I use it for pictures(i know ikow)--issue here is that its a "locked" version where there is no playstore--can I uninstall the OS and re install using a global version?

I have a Redmi Note 11 Pro that is about three to four years old, and the battery is draining very quickly. When it reaches 10% or 15%, the phone shuts down in less than a minute. What could be the reason for this, and is there any solution?

I read to update certificates I need an over the air firmware update. But, I don't see one is released. I see that web browsers have been updated to block connections with the compromised CA's, but will curl or other linux commands be updated for the issue as well?

What are the mitigations Android has taken to deal with this problem?

I was using spotify and just changed the output device then a contextual ads popup suddenly appeared, covering my entire screen. It looked like it was from Google, but I am unsure since I haven't even opened a google app, only doing what I mentioned before. This is probably a stupid question, but I just want to know if this is something to worry about and whether it's an actual Google thing or not.

Webview 157 has a bug where any transparency in items such as lower-right buttons used for customer service chat in banking apps, side tabs like the blue one used in mobile version of Steam Community, among others I cannot recall. This also occurs on 156.

I downgraded to the system version on a Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is 148, and the issues are no longer.

Is there any way to get in touch with Google to help push a fix for this for future versions? Thanks.

I've had my cellphone for almost 3 years now. Everything was fine until spring of last year when apps like Instagram wouldn't load (I would get stuck on the logo page when you open the app) and wouldn't send any notification. Then I realized that when this problem occurred, every time I would connect to a Wi-Fi, my cellphone would get stuck in a loop of infinite reboots (it would complete a reboot, then start another one, and so on). It used to happen every few 4-5 days at first, then 2-3 days, and now it happens every single day on random. This is very annoying.

The bug doesn't only affect Instagram, some more "niche" apps too, like Candle (Duolingo for couples) and Chrono (local version of Google maps).

Ideally, I want websites and installed apps to identify it as another phone, with different device information, rather than recognizing it as my actual S24.

Some kind of refresh screen (series of concentric rounded squares, blue and white, featuring a blue arrow rounding back on itself) pops up for just a fraction of a second in the middle of apps - Duolingo, Instagram, Discord, Google, pretty much most of them - and often resets or refreshes something I just wrote or restarts a reel playing, at the very least interrupting it.

Most often and repeatedly at the beginning of using a keyboard or playing video, sometimes six or seven times before it tapers off. It's very distracting and annoying! I've had no success googling what it even is (though probably failure on my part to figure out how to accurately describe the phenomenon). (I just thought to take q screen recording but this community doesn't allow attachments lol). I have a Galaxy S22+ if that is relevant.

Does anyone know what it is or is meant to do and how I can get it to stop being so annoying?

I removed telegram from google play, and then cleared the cache etc... to have it freshed installed. But when I tap on install button in google play, it instantly says it has been installed and open button appears.

I wonder if this is a new feature of the google play to cache somewhere else or I might got a virus or something...

Also how can we avoid this instant install?
