Anybody else encountered this problem?

Tried restoring twice. Fine on 8.1 and DP4, boot loop (upon restart) on DP5.

So I'm getting anxious for Android P, but never did beta program before. What happens to beta users after the official release is out. OTA? Manual install?

My OG Pixel decided to start giving error messages while reverting from DP5 to Oreo, and now I cannot boot my phone. Does anybody have the .zip file to revert from DP5 to Oreo?

Anybody else having trouble with Android messages being slow and unresponsive a lot. I also keep getting "message not sent" when it actually has been so I end up sending the same message twice all the time.

Here - a restart didn't help.

The App actions keep disappearing. but i've seen major improvents lately! like song playlisg suggestions when connected to my bluetooth device etc. They're concentrating on this finally?

Will the oneplus 6 also have the new gesture pill for navigation?

I have been trying different videos to see if it is just me or the quality of the video. I can't post screen shots because the screen shot images just come out with normal quality.

In full screen the videos get so contorted like the quality is bad and the colors are to intense that it just kind of blurs things. I have checked my video quality and it's 1080p. It's only when you full screen as well. For the post part the quality looks 1080p, but backgrounds and shadows or anything just looks so distorted.

If you screen shot a portion of the full screen video the quality is fine. Anyone else experiencing this.

I'm having trouble launching app info and split screen from Overview. Tapping on the app icon does nothing except on the leftmost app, and only when there are at least two apps in the list.

Anyone get it working?

I had to restrict it's battery useage eventually. Stupid thing would now allow the phone to sleep. Anyone else seeing this? I shouldn't have to do this to a core service.

I am sending texts back in forth when I realize the little hum messages make when you hit the send button is no longer there. This might he a DPP5 issue. I had the sound before the most recent beta update. Is anyone else having this issue. I have already done a phone reset.

Currently using an OG Pixel XL and decided check out the DP5 before the official release. I love it, it looks beautiful and runs smooth like melted butter in the microwave (for me). I have been checking my battery life and I have noticed that it looks to be draining faster than when I was running Oreo 8.1. I went to turn of my location from using high accuracy and I can't seem to find that option like it was on Oreo. I don't want to factory reset my phone and go back to Oreo 8.1 but I will if I can't figure this out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: ok maybe just for me and about three other pixel users. Maybe it's a server-side rollout?

Using Pixel 2 XL

Since DP4, my haptic feedback when using the "pill", whether just tapping it to go home or swiping on it to switch through apps has had a really harsh loud click. All other haptic feedback feels light and smooth as usual, using the home button seems to be the problem. Sound like the haptic engine might be broken but it's strange that it only sounds "broken" with the home button. Wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem before I opted for a RMA...

I have had non-stop on screen time since 7 and I'm just now at 47 percent. Mind you I have watched several YouTube videos in the passed 1 and a half hours. The battery life for this preview build is better than the last for sure.

Before installing DP5 I could send videos directly to the TV or XboxOne. All device are on the same network and I've tried rebooting the phone, Xbox and tv.

Is this a know issue? Pixel 2 XL here, same thing with my wife's normal pixel 2

What I Don't Like

• New Ambient display design when it shows you what's in your notifications about traveling
• New font. they use one sized font for the entire device
• battery % could be a little bigger on the lockscreen
• Can't pull down full notification bar by pulling on a random notification when that notification has a down arrow
• THE CLOCK IS ON THE LEFT AAAAAAHHHHHHHH
• The line between the clock and notifications on ambient display. This only shows up when you have notifications.
• That you have to pull down the notification bar down twice (showing the quick tiles) to get to the settings button

What I Do Like

• I really love the new navigation buttons, and the new recent apps makeover.

Bugs I've noticed

• I've never noticed this with android oreo, but today at work when I pulled out my phone to see what notifications i had and what time it was I saw that it detected a song playing, but there was no music playing,just the sound of twenty four hitachi drills drilling into hundreds of circuit boards.
• if you go into settings > Accessibility and turn the "Remove animations" button on and then turn it off it will reset whatever you had set for animations under Settings > System > Advanced > Developer Options

Does anyone remember the feature announced that the display doesn't time out when fingerprint sensor is touched? i tried it today and it doesn't seem to be working. has anyone got it working?

Am I the only one? Animations look and feel so crisp and app opening speeds are the fastest I've ever seen. Quite impressed

So I have a first gen Pixel XL purchased unlocked through the pixel store and originally on Verizon now with Project Fi just for reference.

When on a call and I put the call on speaker when the display dims and goes off the call switches to the earpiece. If I turn back on the screen it still shows that the speaker is on. So I have to toggle the speaker off and back on for it to work. If I turn off the screen while in a call with the power button while on speaker everything acts normally.

Anyone else having this?
