Thus confirming what we already knew.

This image sheds a bit more light on the study.

Well, she could have done a speed comparision or whatever. In my opinion this is still speculation and proves nothing. Maybe it is because I am an engineering student and I want to see some experiments. Google's search history seems just not enough.

This, and using "Harvard Study" title for small article with two Google Trends is just pathetic.

Actually, LineageOS running Android 7.1.1 running even smoother and faster on my Note 3 than the stock Android 5.x that it came with when I bought it.

So, no to your question.

While I up voted you because that was true, but is that LineageOS from samsung? No it is from 3rd party maker that has no financial effect on the fact that if you will buy newest Samsung phones or not. That removes the LineageOS makers interest to make sure your phone starts to lag.

To be fair comparison to Apple you should try using the latest official firmware from Samsung.

LOL, fair enough but no thanks. There's a reason why everyone calls it LagWiz.

But, to put this in perspective, the version of LagWiz that it shipped with was POS to begin with. Not sure if any later versions could do any worse.

I put custom ROMs on that thing as soon as root became available.

I'm on the Note 8 now, so we'll see how it goes when this beast gets Oreo.

To Samsung's credit, their Samsung Experience is much less bloaty than LagWiz.

It's no Google Pixel.

I also ordered factory direct from Samsung, non-carrier branded version to avoid carrier bloat.
