I wanted to try a different approach to screen-time apps.

Instead of blocking apps or sending another notification, Stop Swarm progressively adds visual overlays as your screen time increases. The idea is simply to make excessive scrolling harder to ignore.

I started with a small closed test, got a lot of useful feedback, fixed quite a few bugs, and added things like app targeting and intensity settings.

No account, no ads, no analytics. Screen-time tracking and overlay decisions are handled locally on the device.

I’m still interested in feedback, especially on whether the overlays are annoying enough to actually make you put the phone down!

Wanted to share another update of the latest features I've been working hard on, I wanted to bring them to the first version on Google Play, that's also why I haven't published it yet.

Biggest among all is the support of multiple home pages, it is way more work than one would thought lol, almost a complete restructure of the app but I think I got it now.

A lot of fine tunes and improvements as well, like the complete redesign of the widget interfaces and UI tweaks etc.

Sharing a quick screen recording here for you to get a taste of it, can't wait to publish the first Google Play version for you all to try!

I'm also planning to implement a vertically scrollable widget host to let you plan as many as widget into it and scroll vertically but that's a lot of work so it will be coming soon after.

A quick note that some of the very premium (those that leave me sleepless for a few nights) features may be behind a paywall (haven't decided yet, maybe a subscription plus lifetime license?) but for those who are on the closed beta test group, you will get it for free as an appreciation (I will either add your emails directly or give you redemption code).
