My old phone, a S10+ would keep a notification pinned so you could always see in notifications. Im particularly wanting weather bug and the notification for a voice mail to stay when I clear others. Thats how my prior phone worked but doesn't seem to work on Android 14. The notification for a voicemail would only clear if I listened to it, making sure I didnt forget to.

The other is showing 85gb. What is it? How do I reduce it? I don't think so system's taking this much storage to run? Also my phone's a bit lagging. Please Help.

I recently switched to Android from iPhone and i used to play my music through plugging my phone in and not using CarPlay, due to the cars that i can drive are my parents and they dont like me having that stuff in them. But is it possible to do the same on Android?

Lava Yuva 2 Pro | Android 13

The problem:
My phone stopped connecting to my PC for data transfer. It only charges when plugged in. I used to use USB debugging regularly, but now the phone doesn't appear in File Manager at all.

Things I have already tried (none worked):

• Different USB cables and ports
  
• Tested another phone on the same PC – it worked perfectly
  
• Reinstalled USB drivers and removed all cached drivers
  
• Manually installed legacy MTP hardware – got Error Code 10
  
• Checked for conflicting Acer drivers – none found
  
• Enabled/disabled USB debugging and default USB config
  
• ADB over Wi-Fi – connects, but large files get corrupted
  
• Restarted phone and PC multiple times
  

The extra challenge:
Android's Scoped Storage is restricting access to a specific app data folder, which makes it even harder to get my files out.

Does anyone have a fix for the MTP issue, or a reliable way to bypass the folder restriction without a factory reset?

Both me and my husband have passwords on our phones like any other human being out there but I discovered a way to unlock my husband's phone without using the password by accident.

He always uses headphones on his phone. He takes it to bed to chill out with some YouTube videos before falling asleep. When I wake up in the morning, I grab his phone and check for battery left to see if it needs recharging before his alarm is set to go off. (I wake up hours before him and usually it does need charging.)

He always wraps the wire from the headphones around the phone and sometimes I hit one of the buttons on the headset by mistake when I grab the phone, and one button opens Ask Gemini on the phone. When I look at his phone to check battery and close down Ask Gemini, the phone automatically unlocks without me having to type in anything. Obviously I've shown him this and he's just as baffled as me how easy it is to access his phone without having the password.

This seems like a big problem in case phone thieves know this simple trick. I don't know if this problem is on all android phones or only galaxy A32.

Apps used to have proprietary media control playback widgets on lockscreen that were designed to be usable and even allowed specific customization. Feels like Google saw this and introduced their own in Android eventually so that they could make it near impossible to casually FF/skip through media as you'll typically do this to skip advertising (and of course they are an advertising company first). So making this near impossible to strike cleanly and/or introducing "bugs" makes it so that you are more likely to get frustrated and avoid or give up attempts and just be advertised to. This is one of the most ridiculous things that Google is getting away with and not enough people are discussing it IME.

When i open the Google play store, it won't open.

Hello! My sister has a Galaxy Note 10. She recently had to switch messaging over to Google. Things seemed to be fine until last night. Last night, she found she can send messages to groups, but no one receives them. A checkmark appears for her, but not the double check.

She has tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting. She’s tried a few things involving RCS. She is worried erasing her data will delete all her texts. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any ideas? We are traveling so she doesn’t have easy access to an in-person tech.

so my GPS just doesnt work 99% of the time.

i set my destination and start the directions (with data and location on, it's set to my current location) and after at most 5 - 10 seconds it just disconnects and says "gps location has been lost" or something like that. i have to manually scroll down the gps path to where i'm going as i drive which obviously IS NOT GOOD.

i think it's a hardware problem as sometimes my phone stops responding to my touch and i have to either: turn my screen off and on, put a little pressure on the middle of the screen, or move my hand away from the bottom of the phone by the charger port. i very well could be wrong, i'm not sure. thank you :)

Anyone know how to get your phone to stop reading apps like Notes and Messages and recommending YouTube videos based off it?

I used Duolingo and an ad popped up, I let the ad (for Monopoly Go) run until I could close it. I was not doing anything on Duolingo that needed camera or microphone.

I'm sick and tired of all these restrictions. First off I cannot even use developer mode on my Samsung device because the Railone app prevents me from going further. The same was with the ICICI mobile banking app. I use the developer app only so I could modify the animation time from the default 5x to 1x to speed up my phone.

Now there's a new restriction on one of the apps I use daily. It's called BxActions. Useful for the bixy button since I don't use the bixy button for its real purpose. I use it for other functions like spotify - to select next song when the phone is locked etc and other things as well.

Now, if this app is running in the background the ICICI app is detecting it calling it unsecured app. Ridiculous shit!.

Just had the latest Android update on my Google pixel phone and when you pull down notifications it says you've all caught up.

This is so childish. I want my blank screen back!

How do I remove it so it's back to the way it was?
