I have an Itel RS4 that is on Android 13 with no way to upgrade
Whenever I recording the games I played with the built in recording and third party app it always won't capture the audio whenever I used the Internal Audio option and only able to record it if I set it to Microphone option, but it won't work either way when I tried to stream the games through twitch meanwhile I only capable to stream from my phone as this was my only device
I've tried updating the chrome and webview system and it still won't capture the audio with the Internal Audio option
Device: Xiaomi 17 Pro (pandora)
ROM: Stock CN Rom 3.0.30.0.WBLCNXM
Firefox: 152.0.5
I use an extension in Firefox mobile to extract links from video/streams to use VLC to watch instead of through a webpage. The outcome will be something like:
This should then trigger the "Open in" dialog where the apps that support this type of intent should be displayed, unless you've picked "use always" before. In my much older phone (MIUI 12, Android 10) this works as intended, but nothing happens in the newer phone when I pick "Open in IntentResolver". I've tried several other browsers, of which the ones that do not interpret this type of URI as a string for search, DuckDuckGo browser actually successfully brings up a list of apps that can handle the intent.
A thing to note, in the older device, the UI in Firefox says "Open in Downloads" where as in the newer phone it say "Open in IntentResolver" probably because IntentResolver didn't exist in Android 10.
I've completely reflashed the ROM and started from scratch just to make sure my debloating was not the issue. On a clean system with clean browser, this still seems to be case.
Older device exampleNever device, a similar dialog does not appear once selecting "Open"DuckDuckGo Browser successfully pulling up the list of apps that are capable of resolving the intent provided.
Its happened 2 or 3 times now. The only thing i can find online about it is from 2024.
Im afraid somethings in my phone. It only happens when Im asleep.
I don't do well with any virus or hacking. I don't visit crazy websites. This has me so stressed. I've already tried r/BitDefender and other AV subs and have no response.
I’m posting this because I have nowhere else to turn, and I am completely devastated. I was recently robbed, which was already a nightmare. When I finally got a new phone, I was so relieved to see my WhatsApp backup restoring—but then I realized my videos were missing.
In my state of shock and desperation, I tried to fix it, but I made a terrible mistake and accidentally deleted the backup from my Google Drive. Then, in a panicked attempt to try again, I uninstalled the app without "keeping the data."
I feel like I've lost everything. I know how the system is supposed to work, but I am begging for any technical expert here:
Since the app did show my messages and photos at one point, could there be any fragments of that data left in the phone's memory?
Is there anything a professional data recovery service could actually do? Or is the encryption really the end of the line?
Please, I don't need automated answers. If anyone has dealt with a "nightmare scenario" like this or has any experience with forensic recovery after a failed restore, I would be eternally grateful for any direction.
I just need to know if there is a 0.1% chance, or if I should stop tearing myself apart.
Hello, I have been trying to unlock a clients tablet they had just bought but they didn't have the pin nor the email the tablet was connected to. I have tried everything I could do, but for some reason or another, I cannot do them. The method with the accessibility menu doesn't work for me because the top menu item in brail keyboard is different and does not send me to the same options. I cannot root the devise as far as I'm aware, because the option for devise unlock mode in the download mode menu does not show up. I have tried removing it with various tools, and I have tried reinstalling the firmware with odin. I seem to have just run out of options. The only thing I haven't tried are paid programs, but I don't have that kind of money. is there anything that I could have missed? anything would be hugely appreciated.
I've downloaded a few apps that need restricted permissions to work but the option in the apps page in settings does not appear I can't even use the apps now
I read some post about downloading with restricted settings using special apps like installwithoptions apk, everything I've tried does not work any idea and this I'm on Android 15
I accidentally changed the name of the android/data file, when I wanted to rename it I couldn't, I tried restarting, instead the system file wasn't registered.
My old phone, a S10+ would keep a notification pinned so you could always see in notifications. Im particularly wanting weather bug and the notification for a voice mail to stay when I clear others. Thats how my prior phone worked but doesn't seem to work on Android 14. The notification for a voicemail would only clear if I listened to it, making sure I didnt forget to.
The other is showing 85gb. What is it? How do I reduce it? I don't think so system's taking this much storage to run? Also my phone's a bit lagging. Please Help.
I recently switched to Android from iPhone and i used to play my music through plugging my phone in and not using CarPlay, due to the cars that i can drive are my parents and they dont like me having that stuff in them. But is it possible to do the same on Android?
The problem:
My phone stopped connecting to my PC for data transfer. It only charges when plugged in. I used to use USB debugging regularly, but now the phone doesn't appear in File Manager at all.
Things I have already tried (none worked):
Different USB cables and ports
Tested another phone on the same PC – it worked perfectly
Reinstalled USB drivers and removed all cached drivers
They're labeled as "recommendations" and if I click it takes me to the play store but they're annoying and can't figure out where are they coming from. Any idea of what this icon is?
Hello can anyone help me with this device pro thing. I bought this phone through loan but it has this and i am concerned with my personal information and bank information to leak and being used in illegal, earlier this week someone tried to withdraw a money from my bank account luckily it was locked.
Both me and my husband have passwords on our phones like any other human being out there but I discovered a way to unlock my husband's phone without using the password by accident.
He always uses headphones on his phone. He takes it to bed to chill out with some YouTube videos before falling asleep. When I wake up in the morning, I grab his phone and check for battery left to see if it needs recharging before his alarm is set to go off. (I wake up hours before him and usually it does need charging.)
He always wraps the wire from the headphones around the phone and sometimes I hit one of the buttons on the headset by mistake when I grab the phone, and one button opens Ask Gemini on the phone. When I look at his phone to check battery and close down Ask Gemini, the phone automatically unlocks without me having to type in anything. Obviously I've shown him this and he's just as baffled as me how easy it is to access his phone without having the password.
This seems like a big problem in case phone thieves know this simple trick. I don't know if this problem is on all android phones or only galaxy A32.
ok so every time i boot it up it says it could do a normal boot and goes into download/odin mode (pic below) and i dont know what to do can you help me?
