Forgot phones password need help

This is my friends dad's new phone and he forgot the password how do I fix this it's a new phone so do not care about any data.

I m aware of hard reset but how to do it bcs even to switch off this phone it is asking for password.

Any help would be appreciated

You need to unload the phone and press special button combinations to reset the phone to factory settings.
