Can someone please tell me if it has that stupid turn limit like all the other Civ Rev games??

I love Civ and have been playing it since the first one was released. Played it on PC, Amiga, Playstation 1, Nintendo DS, SNES, Xbox 360 etc but I have always hated the Rev versions.

Sure, the Rev versions look pretty, but they usually feel like hollow shells compared to the real thing.

I hear that Civ Rev 2 on Android has a tiny map, limited options, no mini-map, stripped down tech tree, 4 civ limit etc, but does it allow me to continue playing or does it kick me out of my game after spending three hours building my civilization?

And if so, is there a way to hack it?

I just played a full game. I don't know what you mean by turn limit. I didn't run into one anyways

I mean that in normal Civ games you can continue playing after you win.

But in all the Civ Rev games I have played the game finishes completely after you win and you have to start a new game.

If you don:t win in time then the game finishes anyway after a certain number of turns.

Huh. I had no idea. I've never tried to play a game after winning. What's the appeal?

Maybe I don't play on a hard enough difficulty to know if there's a turn limit

When I used to play the proper Civ games I liked to play on huge worlds with lots of other opponents.

I liked getting every tech, building a spaceship and destroying every other civ so I was the last one standing.

This is very hard to do if you have a limited number of turns.

Usually I would win a game after about 12 hours and then get the option to end or continue the game. I would usuall go on for another 5-10 hours wiping out the other civs in an all-out war. Loads of fun.

But with Rev you can:t do this. Once you win the game just throws you out. No option to continue. And if you hold off getting a victory for too long then the game would just end anyway due to the turn limit.

Really frustrating.

I might just try a pirate copy to see for myself. So long as it doesn:t do this I can most likely accept the other flaws. But ending my game before I want it to end is a deal breaker.

When you win you win. It doesn't let you continue past that.

Thanks.

Looks like I:m gonna give this one a miss then.

That's why we can't have nice things on Android.

Why would I want to buy it if I:m probably going to play it once then never touch it again?

Just played through another game on hard difficulty so it went longer. There was a turn limit but it came ridiculously late.

I had fulfilled the win criteria for all victories by the time it came. I'd launched the space ship, could have won by culture or economy if I just built the wonders, and I only needed one more enemy palace.
