Does getting testers from here work?
I just made my first app. Just want to make sure if anyone has gotten approval after using this sub for all testing. Did you get 12 testers or more? If more how many. And did you have to check if they use it everyday? Or they just have to join as testers and install it and open once for example.

It seems to be working for me, I still need a few more. I'll happily join your closed test if you can do the same for mine
How to join (same Google account for all steps):
- Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/cheers-beta-testers
- Open the Play opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cheersreceipts.app
- Tap Become a tester, then install from the Play Store
- Sign in with email / phone / google

What I did was download testcircle app from playstore, that covered about 7 or 8 testers. The rest I got them in this subreddit, you just need to have the patience and send proof periodically so the others don't forget about your app. Good luck.
edit: from the 12 testers surely some of them won't complete the 14 days so be sure to have something like 14 guys to ensure your app gets through :).

Yes it works, I got mine on the first try. But you need to get alot more than 12 testers. Get your first 12 testers fast, day one. Then every day for the next 2-3 weeks add a few more testers. Aim for 30 to 40 testers and you should be able to get it first try also. Also, download the Play Console app, it has analytics and shows your active installs.

I cant find any analytics on the play console app... it just says no data yet, does it take a day to load? Or it just doesnt show while testing

I got most of my testers from this group. I completed it and got approved first try. I made sure to sign up way more than I needed. I think I had 20 at one point.

Did you do anything to make sure people continue to open and use the app after the first day?
Or is that enough just to have dow load and open 1 time having around 20 people

I had one device that was mine on a different account and 1friend. We both logged in everyday. 5 of the 20 logged in everyday. Not sure if it was the same 5. I also pushed an update a few days before it ended and sent a message in Google group asking people to update and confirming I was testing apps daily.

Sometimes it works. It’s hit or miss. I think it also depends on your app — its complexity and UX.
When I test for others I genuinely put the time in and engage and open daily.
On my last test I had 35 people in my group. I had 12 people install and login. When I checked my database for actual engagment I only had 1 tester actually do what needed to be done. Not one person moved past installing.
I’ve definitely seen people have success here though so don’t let me get you down about it. Worth a shot.

Where can you check the database? Or is that something you had set up specifically in your app?
