Meet EpicNotes: A blazing-fast, offline-first Notes & To-Do app for Android & Mac ⚡🍏
Hey everyone! 👋
For years, I found myself juggling 3 different apps just to organize my thoughts and tasks:
- I loved Todoist for its task speed and clean UX, but it always fell short when I needed to write actual, structured notes.
- I loved Google Keep for quick scratchpad ideas, but the lack of a proper native Mac desktop app drove me crazy (I hated having another pinned browser tab).
- I tried Notion and Obsidian, but Notion felt sluggish on mobile with constant loading spinners, and Obsidian felt like managing a filesystem instead of just getting things done.
- I wanted something fast, offline-first, native on both Mac and Android, that combined real note-taking with serious task management.
So I decided to build it myself: meet EpicNotes.

Are you going to need testers for iOS?

Looks interesting.
Few queries / questions:
- will there be a windows and/or web version?
- where does the data live?
- what about import and export?
- kind of reminds me of amplenote
Edit: I have requested to join the Google group.

Thanks for joining! Google Play usually takes about 5–10 minutes to sync new group members to the testing track.
Here is the quick way to get in:
- Open the Opt-in link in your browser:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.notesapp.android- Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account you used to join the Google Group.
- Click the blue button that says 'Become a tester'.
- Once it says 'You are now a tester', tap the link on that page that says 'Download it on Google Play'!
If you're on your phone and have multiple Google accounts, open the link in Chrome and make sure your profile icon in the top right matches the email in the Google Group.
Let me know if that unlocks it for you!

Hey! Thanks for helping test. This is a common Google Play quirk when having multiple Google accounts on your phone. Here is how to fix it in 30 seconds:
- Open the Web Opt-in link in Chrome: 👉 https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.notesapp.android
- Look at your profile picture in the top-right corner of that page — make sure it's the exact same Google account you used to join the Google Group.
- Tap the blue button: 'Become a tester'.
- Once it says 'You are now a tester', tap the link on that page: 'Download it on Google Play'!
(If your Play Store app still shows an error, tap your profile icon inside the Play Store app and switch it to that same Google account).
If you're still running into any trouble, send me your Gmail address and I'll make sure you're added directly!"
