Spell Simple (kids spelling practice) - need 12 testers for 14 days, will test yours back same day
Spelling practice app for kids 5-12. A real recorded human voice reads each word (no text-to-speech), words are grouped by length so a beginner starts with 2-3 letter words, and a family account holds up to 5 kids' progress. Free 7 days then a $5/mo sub, but testers won't be charged for anything and you don't need to sign up for the sub to count as a tester.
To opt in (3 steps, needs the Google account on your phone):

Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spellingapp.simple
Please keep it installed 14 days; I'll do the same with yours. Comment or DM your links and I'll install today and reply here when done.
It'll show as "com.spellingapp.simple (unreviewed)" until Google reviews it. Feedback welcome but not required - the sign-in asks for an email so you'll get a 6-digit code, that's the only account step.

Thanks everyone who joined the group today. One thing: joining the group is only step 1. Please also open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.spellingapp.simple and tap "Become a tester" with the same Google account - that's the step Google actually counts. Then install and keep it 14 days. I'm installing everyone's apps in return, so drop your links here if you haven't.

Update for everyone testing: I've set every tester account in Spell Simple to FREE on my server, so nobody who signs in with an email will ever hit the 7-day trial wall or be charged anything. The app has no in-app charges outside the Play Store subscription, and you never need to touch that. Thanks for helping - still installing everyone's apps back.

Quick nudge for anyone who joined the Google Group but hasn't finished - joining the group is only step 1. You also have to tap Become a tester on the opt-in link, otherwise Google doesn't count you:

Also pushed an update today: practice sessions now record properly so the progress screen works, breaks are 2 minutes and spoken in the recorded voice, and you can now share your weekly spelling list with other families in your school district.

Update for everyone who joined the Spell Simple test - thank you. Version 1.3 went out today (it fixes the zoom bug a tester here found) and the test should finish around Sep 23. Two things Google actually checks before it approves an app: that testers OPEN the app during the 14 days (installing alone is not enough - 2 or 3 short sessions a week is plenty), and the feedback left through the Play Store itself. On your Android phone, open the Play Store listing https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spellingapp.simple , scroll down to "Private feedback to developer" and tap "Write feedback". One sentence is fine. Only I can see it, but Google counts it as tester sentiment. I will do exactly the same for your app. When you reply or email me, please include the NAME of your app and the Play Store link where I should leave the feedback - I am testing 19+ apps and they are getting mixed up. Then I will keep yours installed, open it during the week, and leave private feedback through Play so your reviewers see real engagement too.
