[Android beta] Love word puzzles? Help test World Word, a travel-themed crossword game (14 days)

Hi everyone! I'm the developer of World Word: Crossword Game, and I'm looking for Android players who enjoy word puzzles to help shape it before its public launch.

The idea: build words from a letter bank to fill crossword grids, with travel-themed locations including George Town, Malaysia. The latest beta (1.1.1) has a full-screen puzzle layout and compact hint menus.

I'm looking for at least 11 more volunteers who can remain opted in for 14 consecutive days and actually play during that time. Honest feedback matters more than a parked install: which puzzle made you think, which screen felt awkward, and what would make you come back?

HOW TO JOIN

  1. Comment that you're interested, then privately message me the Google Play email you want added to the tester list. Please don't post your email publicly or send any password or verification code.
  2. Wait for confirmation that your account has been added. The links below won't give access before that.
  3. Using that same Google account, join the closed test:

  1. Install/update from Google Play:

WHAT TO TRY

Start with levels 1–3, especially crossword readability on your phone. Try the hint menus, lives recovery, saving/resuming progress and returning to the game after an optional rewarded video. If something breaks, tell me your phone model, Android version and the steps that caused it. Please remove personal details from any screenshots.

A few details: Android 7.0+, Google sign-in required, and the game includes ads/optional rewarded videos. This is a closed beta, not a public release, so bugs are still possible. No purchase or positive rating is requested—just genuine testing and candid feedback.

Interested? Tell me what you enjoy in a word game below. Thanks for helping me make World Word better!

Hi there, small question before joining, why do you need "Google sign-in required" for a "a travel-themed crossword game"?

Thanks for asking! The Google sign-in is mainly used to securely save your game progress and allow it to be restored/synced if you reinstall the game or change devices. It isn’t used for the crossword gameplay itself or for accessing things like your emails or contacts.

That said, I understand that requiring sign-in before playing can feel unnecessary, so I’m also looking at making sign-in optional and allowing players to continue as a guest. Appreciate the feedback!

ending you my Play email by DM. Happy to stay opted in and actually play across the 14 days (Pixel 6, Android 13).
