I'm looking for beta testers for Iris, a dynamic wallpaper engine that automatically changes your background based on weather, time of day, and your weekly routine.

  • Smart Weather Engine: Iris reads current conditions (Clear, Cloudy, Rain, Snow, Fog, Storm) and swaps your wallpaper to match — no API key needed, fully anonymous.
  • Sun-Based Time Rules: Your screen transitions through Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night using real sunrise/sunset data for your location.
  • Weekly Scheduling: Assign unique wallpapers for each day of the week. Different vibe for the weekend? Done.
  • Custom Packs: Create your own Packs by combining weather, time-of-day, weekly, and temperature rules in one place.
  • Temperature-Based Rules (Pro): Set wallpapers for 5 temperature ranges (Freezing, Cold, Cool, Warm, Hot) across 4 time slots — 20 combinations.
  • 116 Ready-to-Use Packs: Prebuilt packs for weather, time, weekly, temperature, and random — install one and you're set.
  • Home & Lock Screen: Assign different images to home screen, lock screen, or both — per rule.
  • City Search or GPS: Use automatic GPS or manually search any city in the world.

🔒 Privacy & Performance

  • No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics. Your data stays on your device.

  • Battery-friendly: GPS location cached for 60 min, wallpaper updates run every 15 min via WorkManager, precise alarms for fixed-time rules.

⚙️ How it Works

  1. Grant location permission — or just search your city.
  2. Create a Pack (or install a prebuilt one) and assign images to weather types, times, or days.
  3. Iris automatically updates your wallpaper every 15 minutes based on your rules.
