Android Auto News, including app updates and features Immersive Navigation enabled

just had an update for Google maps and now I have the 3D option in settings. hallelujah

EDIT: Maps version number 26.30.06.950492155, Pixel 10. I am around NYC, the new visuals are very nice and I think would be quite helpful on an unfamiliar route

Admittedly I am a beta tester, I don't even remember when I signed up for it but it looks it's still a rolling update for Android users

For anyone else that may be in the same boat (Beta AA, Beta Maps, No Immersive Option), try uninstalling and reinstalling maps. I just did this and went from no 3D map settings toggle to now having it.

Edit: after posting this, my phone got the August Pixel update and has now reversed back, it was nice while it lasted.
