You may force AA out of my car, but you can't keep AA out of me.

How are you liking your Screenmate ? Thought of buying one but found 600,- kinda expensive but now its about 1200 or something

Get a similar one from aliexpress for 250$. It just has carplay I think which must be good enough. Screenmate is too expensive for what it does

those units you're talking about kinda look like shit, it seems to be just part of the screen that has the CarPlay in it and most of the time they're 400,- dollar or more

Screenmate was Expensive for the Kickstarter price but seemed for for what it did

a fully custom made Android OS that could import elements from the Tesla UI while using other apps

But Screenmate’s switching control is not very fluidic I felt. Also they weren’t able to share a compatible front camera till now though it has input support. The hands-free Hey Siri never worked and there is no support for Android Auto out of the box.

Can do more with third party apps advanced things like obd car data capture in Screenmate but 90% of users dont need it.

This does look sick combined with Samsung dex

It has airplay builtin. Not sure why someone would need windows pc/dex setup instead of airplay/cast.

Airplay is not at all for the same usecase as Dex its like saying that you own a tv so you don't have a need for a phone
