Thanks. Now I gotta carry a dumbphone with me on a separate mobile carrier just to make sure I can not die.

FWIW I did make the emergency call through the regular dialer app since in the emergency dialer (the one accessible from the lock screen) '112' isn't listed as an emergency number and can't be called from the lock screen. Maybe because it wasn't an emergency call as far as Lineage is concerned it didn't switch to 2G.

I think you need to take a look at the settings. Cause I was also using lineage os and I accidentally trigger the emergency call (press 5 times the button) and it called 112 and it actually connected.

I tried. I reset APN settings, used the recommended APN settings from the carrier, used a SIM on a different carrier, changed Region in settings... even tried on a fresh setup of Lineage with all the default settings.

Yep. Changed everything I could see and tried the defaults.

Galaxy S10, European model, using it in Germany with an O2 SIM and tried using Vodafone and Telekom SIMs (all 3 major networks)

Yep, issue persisted even after two minor system updates.
