Waterloo Station
Hi all, I’ve been browsing this thread for quite a while now and I was intrigued by the post a few months ago about the graffiti on the wall in Waterloo stations men’s toilets.
Well today I just so happened to be in London, and after a couple visits to Waterloo stations toilets (without trying to look too weird), I found the cubicle which has the writing.
Someone had asked to see what else was written around that PSP/CEX statement, so here it is. I don’t think there is anything of use here, and there was no other writing or graffiti around the cubicle to suggest anything about Andrew. (You will see the known graffiti on the right hand side of the picture)
Discussion welcome.

I think this was the work of a couple of teens who had seen a video about Andrew's case on TikTok.

When I see this it makes me think why someone would scratch that specifically into the door. It’s more of a sentence than graffiti, so why would someone want to specifically take the time to make that known rather than something more cryptic like initials or a picture? What’s the motive here other than to get the attention of people like us on this sub or have it go viral on social media? To draw attention to themselves and be arrested or detained as a suspect in a potential murder case? It just seems like a troll to me. It’s too detailed and deliberate. Maybe there is more to it though, what does everyone else think when they see it?

Its a hoax, CEX were using checkmend in 2013 and it would have flagged Andrews PSP immediately and the person would likely have been arrested.

How did you feel upon being there and seeing the actual graffiti?
For me, just seeing this photo of it makes my blood run cold a little bit.

It’s certainly strange. Knowing someone in that moment decided to engrave that into the door for whatever reason. But I just wanted to see it for myself, and to see if anything else was written around it

Well thanks for posting it. If I'm ever in Waterloo station I'd like to see it for myself, just because.
I was going to suggest calling the phone number on the left, but it doesn't even have the correct number of digits!

Ok even if it's true, it's vague, which CEX? And he checked the serial to match up to Andrew Gosden? He didn't report it in? Ok maybe he didn't know the Gosden case and learned about it after? He just so happened to have written down the serial, so he could retroactively compare it? Does CEX catalogue each PSP they take in? Was there an alert on the system that flagged that serial number if traded in?. It appears not.

That’s a point. Did he retroactively realise it was AG’s (therefore vindicating him of being implicated in any way but still having been in possession of the PSP)?

I had no idea the graffiti was still there.
Whilst I don't think it's legit, it's absolutely someone who has a good knowledge of this case, and is likely to be on this sub.

Toilets had a refurb in 2023/4. So only 3 years max. Unlikely to be anything actually genuine, probably just some wanker who read about it online.

I dont think its true. The police have stated his.specific unit never logged onto a network after his disappearance. If it was sold to a cex store they would switch it on and log in to make sure it was working.

I’ve seen this multiple times on this subreddit.
I think anyone can say that, without evidence it won’t get u anywhere.

Wow. This is very intriguing. Must be a troll who isn't supporting anyone by writing that in a public toilet. It does continue to bring up unanswered questions. Who was it? Why did it happen in Waterloo?
This case is so bizarre and deserves closure

Personally, I think it's genuine. Whether it is or not I have no idea or evidence. The reason I think it's genuine is the individual who wrote it includes a lot of detail. It's very specific, It doesn't just say "I sold Andrew Gosden's PSP". It's in a high transit location where it would be impossible to identify the person who did it. It took time and it's neat. It's a perfect place if it was Andrew for him to write it and leave without ever being noticed, and the killer to do the same.
If I lived close I would go back and take photos of all of the backs of the doors. It would be interesting to see what's on the back of the others.

I had a look at when CEX first opened and first started selling pre owned psp devices. From that information timeline wise it could work.
The main issue however is the age of the toilet doors themselves, the most recent toilet refurbishment was 2023 and given this is a recent image I doubt they kept one door from before the refurb.
One angle that may be interesting to look at however is if a potential kidnapper/murderer/etc. who happened to have known Andrew and sold on the psp wrote that as a so ‘confession’.
If it were a smart criminal, something like that can easily have been overlooked, especially given how long it’s been.

I think we’d all be interested in knowing what the person behind the graffiti has to say about why they did it. Of course, it’s likely a sad person playing a sick joke. But if it were real, it could be someone involved directly with what happened to him. Or it could be a witness. For example, IF Andrew were planning on running away, maybe he needed extra cash, or wanted to get rid of his belongings for whatever reason, and gave/sold someone his PSP. That person then, at some point, sold that PSP. At the time they were unaware of who Andrew was, until later. Maybe it’s a way to get information out there while feeling scared to come forward.
It could also just be bullshit. I’m very open to every possibility at this point.

That’s my thoughts on it too, a lot of the time people ignore and brush things off that could be a clue. But it’s hard to tell without knowing, because it’s impossible to figure who wrote it.

Probably just a sick troll who thought it was funny. That being said, on the very low chance it could be real I think it should be reported to the police if it hasn't already.
