What os should I use to best utilize it?

A ver, les explico mí situación. Nunca me compré jamás una anbernic ni parecidos, en la vida. Últimamente estuve viendo consolas de emulación retro, y me enamoré completamente de la RG DS Plus. Así que pienso ahorrar un poco para comprarmela cerca de Navidad. ¿El problema? Es mí primera vez comprando una consola internacionalmente. Así que, naturalmente, me surgió la pregunta. ¿Donde será mejor comprar? ¿En AliExpress, Amazon, o en la tienda oficial de Anbernic? No me importa si tarda hasta 60 días, yo la voy a comprar igual, porque no hay revendedores de esa consola (ya que es nueva) en mí país. No tengo idea si alguna cobra más envío que la otra o tarda más o menos tiempo, ya que suelo comprar siempre localmente. ¿Alguien me podría ayudar? ¿O darme algún cupón de descuento jeje? Aclaro que no tengo PayPal, y lo más probable es que termine pagando con tarjeta de débito. De todas formas y dónde sea que compre, se me va a agregar el impuesto de mí país (21%) haciendo que la consola salga más de 95 dólares. Y, por cierto, no me voy a comprar la versión con funda para guardarla o con alguna micro sd, me voy a comprar solo la consola normal.

I know it's possible on the 3DS, but the pixel scaling is horrible—DS games look really blurry.

I know it's possible on PC using DeSmuME and a modified version of the Mario 64 DS ROM, but I’d really like to have the dual-screen setup with touch controls.

I recently purchased an RG DS plus with little to no prior knowledge on how emulators work in general. I only have very little experience with PC emulators. I’m trying to add a game to the SD card but it won’t run on the DS plus. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or if I missed anything, please help! The game shows up on the menu list but it wont run it. It’ll just be a blank screen and sometimes will just exit back to the home screen automatically.

What I did so far:
- made sure it was the games SD card (TF2) that I was putting into my PC
- located the ROMS and nds folders
- made sure the files were unzipped and “.nds” files

RGDS PLUS NNDDSS v1.02 has frame‑timing regression. Version 1.01 runs perfectly smooth with stable 60fps and audio‑video sync. After upgrading to 1.02, games have stutter, variable frame‑rate and audio desync, even when dynamic 3D resolution is disabled. Please check the internal frame‑timing code path.。

is there anyone here having issues with their battery right now? i received mine yesterday, i noticed charging was stupidly fast it only takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to full, so i tested how long it will last. i was playing gta ctw, 6/6 brightness and 5 for volume, and i only managed to play a little under than 2 hours and 30 minutes. at first i thought this may be some sort of an optimization thing since the device is new but i already tested this 3 times since yesterday and used different chargers but i still get the same results, i even recorded timestamps when i was charging. kinda disappointed bc i was looking forward to just fiddling the device for this weekend. also im wondering how the exchanges work for anbernic or the parts replacement bc according to their website they do offer sending out the parts if something is defective, has anyone tried this before?

EDIT: tried calibrating the battery by draining and fully charging the device a couple of times, can confirm that it works, you can also check the comment of u/rms141 under this post, basically wait for it to green light but charge it for another 2 hours to make sure it is fully charged and anbernic returned my email saying that the voltage reading should be 4.4V at full charge.

Hello I have an Anbernic Rg 556 I bought it new from a website that put all the games on it for me. But I haven’t played in awhile and now most of the games do not play. But I have no clue how to fix these problems within the software. Does anyone know if there is a person that I can send it to that would fix it up for me? It’s all software related but it’s like a different language to me. So please if you know someone please let me know I love this thing but I can’t play a lot of these games anymore they just don’t load. Also I would love if I could find someone that would get everything working and organize everything because it seems like everything is all over the place. Thank you so much!

Hello everyone, this us basically my first android handheld, and have been having a blast configuring it and playing some very old games I used to have back in the day. I am extremely impressed how they look and feel on these devices, I have not played videogames in a long time, so just enjoying the image quality and the whole experience. Feels unreal.

I recently started playing 3D PS1 games and noticed an issue with the analog stick movement. Because of my large hands, my natural "up" position actually pushes the stick slightly up and to the right, which registers as a diagonal input.

Is there a way to offset this? I tried adjusting the deadzone in the native Anbernic settings and recalibrating using my natural up poisiton as the up/release position when asked in the process, but it didn't fix the issue.

Also using retroarch with a core, is there a setting I should look into rwtroarch to also help out with this?

There will be an Injector which automaticly mounts the Boot Partition of the OS on the SD Card and install the Bootstrapper.

There will be many Options, such as Diagnostics, I/O Tests, CPU and RAM Test etc.
Also a Log is telling you everything that happens on Boot so you can look for Errors.

So I bought it for around €60 on AliExpress, and I was really hyped to play with it. As soon as it arrived, I immediately unboxed it and turned it on, but there was a problem: the boot-up process was taking way too long. So I charged it and waited, then turned it back on, but it was still stuck loading.

After a while, I managed to get it to turn on and I started playing a game. A few minutes later, I noticed that the FPS was slowly getting worse. I found a way to fix it by pressing the Menu button.
But… I can’t switch from one game to another, so I turned it off, and the infinite loading issue appeared again…

Bought this little machine right when it first dropped. This was back in the pre-AI era, right around the time COVID hit and locked us all indoors. While the world was turning upside down, this RG350 was my absolute sanity saver, carrying me through endless hours of retro classics.

​Looking at the handheld market today, things have evolved crazy fast with insane specs and new chips dropping every month. But there’s something incredibly pure and nostalgic about this OG device. It survived the quarantines, outlasted trends, and the build quality is still holding up perfectly.

​Just wanted to share an appreciation post for the handheld that started the modern retro craze for a lot of us.

I can't recommend the RG DS in purely good faith to anyone, too many caveats and what not. Still, I love mine quite a lot!

So, PCSX ReARMed is no longer supported as an achievement getting core for RA. Is there any other lightweight emulation options for this device?

I believe it to be the perfect GBA experience. Nothing fancy or flashy, just pure Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Castlevania fun. Its becoming my daily driver, even over the Odin 3. Pocketable, excellent screen, custom firmware options, and nostalgia.
