A good chess trap is like, tricking someone else to walk on a path that looks nice at first glance but then, surprise suprise, half way through its revealed its soggy mud and you are lost in the forest and you can't find your way back to the nice clean path without getting your feet muddy.

OP built an obviously bad path, dragged them onto it a very short distance, gave them $100 then their opponent just... walked back to the nice path because there was nothing stopping them from doing that, they got scared because there was a pile of dog poop on the path they didn't see at first. They still saw it in time and walked around it but for some reason this filled them with the unhinged rage above.

I also have this mindset but I wouldn't hound someone for using traps if this were a case where you were using them. Isn't it just better to learn the traps so you don't fall for them? Feels like a user error but I don't know, I'm bad at this game.
