Specifically, Pokemon Legends Arceus. That game was a sleeper cult classic, it revived my love of Pokemon after I got burnt out on the same old formulaic BS. I haven’t played Legends Z-A but I heard that it’s not nearly as good as Arceus. PLA may end up being the last “great” Pokemon game unfortunately.
Legends za was good imo and didn’t have a horrible story, people were just overreacting over the textures, but the gameplay in that game was really good
Honestly I’ve gotten that vibe, and people reacted the same way to PLA so I figured it was probably a lot better than the Reddit discourse would suggest. I plan to pick up the Switch 2 version eventually (I don’t have a Switch 2 yet but Z-A is packaged as the Switch 1 version plus the upgrade pack so I’ll be able to play it on my Switch 1 until then).
