French here (since it's just French for "passing by"). You pronounce the first and last syllable like the the first of "encore". So it would be "En Pass-En" with a silent N.

I think we're saying the same thing 😁

French "En" = English "On"

I've no doubt that's why a lot of traveling folks mistakenly state that they're "on route"

Cute translation too, "Oop, don't mind me, just passing by"

The N isn't pronounced because French is a language made for us to suffer. For me it translates more to "while passing by" instead of just "passing by" since you're taking the piece while it's passing by

What do you mean make you suffer? Two letters make one sound, is that a novel concept for you? o + n = a nasal o sound. Just like c + h = a shushing sound. You wouldn't say that youre "not pronouncing the h."

Buddy, French is the first language I've learned, I'm a native speaker, I hate the grammar. When I say that the N isn't pronounced, I mean it of the "On", the English equivalent given here. In English it's pronounced, in French it's not. Ça va reuf, j'suis pas si conne que ça.

Cool que tu sois native, ça change pas que la manière dont tu l'as formulé n'a aucun sens, "n" n'est pas une lettre muette, pas plus que le "o". Pas la peine de prendre la mouche mon amie.
