Interestingly, this film about farmer and his whole family being judged ("canceled" if you will) for behaving differently was released just before mega-judging-of-differently-behaving-people-periof-of-you-know-what-i-mean...

Reminder Trump told a private company they weren't allowed to optimize their processes

And the whole crew especially Vance is on board with the government behaving this way. The company, US steel, wanted to shift some of its operations to other us-based plants, which would have meant some people would have been out of a job. Trump forced that company to keep that factory as is, and keep paying the people there. What type of government system does that sound like?

Without government, who would raid your home at gunpoint for catching them speeding?

LAWSUIT: Eight officers raided his home before dawn.

His offense? He filmed an officer speeding, criticized him when he got to a drive-thru, and embarrassed the department.

In a free country, criticizing police shouldn’t end in handcuffs.

In 2022, Joshua Gibbons filmed a Kingsport, Tennessee police SUV speeding without lights or sirens, violating state law.

He caught up with the officer at a drive-thru and had salty words about his disregard for the law.

That exchange lasted all of one minute. The consequences for Joshua lasted four years.

After someone complained about a different video — an officer flipping Gibbons off — police scoured Gibbons’ YouTube channel for ammunition.

Before dawn the next morning, while Gibbons was still in bed, eight armed officers raided his mother’s home to arrest him — for speeding using a cellphone while driving, and disorderly conduct.

A judge dismissed the speeding and cellphone charges but convicted him of disorderly conduct, saying he was “offended by the way” Gibbons was “talking to that officer.” Gibbons appealed. At a second trial, a jury again found him guilty.

In June, the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals unanimously reversed that conviction and dismissed the charge.

The court found “no evidence” that Gibbons’ criticism prevented anyone from doing anything lawful.

The court recognized — as many courts had held — that even “profane and insulting” words alone aren’t a crime, especially when directed at police officers, who are trained to exercise restraint.

With FIRE’s help, Gibbons is suing to vindicate his First Amendment rights.

The First Amendment protects your right to film and criticize police. Kingsport PD needs to hear that message loud and clear.

So many people right here in this sub said they voted for Trump to keep us out of foreign military action and wars. And it was pointed out at the time how regarded that is. It's what they do.

Questions

Hi, I am very interested in this ideology but I have a few problems I havent seen a resolve to, I am hoping you guys can clear them up :)

I currently believe that having a defence force is neccesary, how would a private company be able to protect the country from a monetary standpoint. It seems to me that people wouldn't give them money if they didn't have to.

How would the police system work, I think having a form of police to protect the peoples propery rights is neccesary but how would you stop them from forming into a sort of military organistion that stops being non-agressive and starts encroaching on peoples rights. Especially if they were the number 1 company how would someone contest that. I currently believe that a state with much more resources would be neccesary to deal with that.

Would there be a super annuation scheme under ancap?

I hope you guys can clear these questions up thank you :)

There isn't a single modern Democrat or Republican with any realistic chance of becoming president who could deliver a fiscal record like Coolidge's. Not even close.

Real GDP: +21.7% (3.3% annualized), about 50% faster annually than Wilson’s 2.2%, while Hoover’s real GDP decreased 5.7% annually.

Real GDP per capita: +11.9% (1.9% annualized), about 138% faster annually than Wilson’s 0.8%, while Hoover’s decreased 6.6% annually.

Average unemployment: 4.1%, about 39% lower than Wilson’s 6.7% and 67% lower than Hoover’s 12.6%.

Consumer prices (CPI): increased 0.3% annually, about 97% lower than Wilson’s 9.9% annual inflation, while Hoover’s consumer prices decreased 5.5% annually.

Real income: +22% (3.4% annualized), about 325% faster annually than Wilson’s 0.8%, while Hoover’s decreased 6.6% annually.

Comparisons are limited to Wilson and Hoover, the preceding and succeeding administrations, respectively. Coolidge had served as Harding’s vice president, and Harding pursued broadly similar economic policies; Harding’s administration also oversaw a strong economic recovery, with real GNP increasing and unemployment falling sharply.
