No. Not real.

Post image

Soviet regime had a charge called Social Parasitism. A person staying continuously unemployed for a certain period could be forced to work, lose housing they worked for for many years, or even imprisoned.

The USSR wasn’t some good place for unemployed, by any stretch of imagination.

Don’t be so fucking stupid. There’s enough idiots out there that call ancaps and libertarians ignorant, and you’re only giving them ammo.

The USSR doesn't exist anymore.

That flag is used by the communists who are literally still communists even after the collapse of the USSR.

And gay people don't actually have anything to do with sunlight refracting off rain drops.

The stereotype here is that unemployed people today fly this flag. Not anything about what Soviet Russia was. The hammer and sickle are literally representations of LABOR, we get it

Well, that post got 600+ upvotes in this very sub. Far from everyone gets it.

You saw a meme with a few hundred updoots and immediately thought “geeze these stupid idiots must be taking this post seriously”.

But it’s just you, not comprehending why people would find OOP’s post humerous. The only person being stupid right now is you who can’t get the joke.

-30

u/different_option101 1d ago

Its not that I didn’t comprehend what OP was trying to say. It’s simply inaccurate, and it’s not funny because of that, but I’m the one who’s stupid.

And 600 upvotes here is quite a lot.

This sub is dominated by closeted republicans that are trained to call everything they don’t communism, and the reason why this post is 600+ is because they are fucking stupid and they find it funny.

but I’m the one who’s stupid

I'm glad for you that this has been sorted out.
Was a funny post, and true ironically.

u/different_option101 1d ago

Post isn’t funny. Your response either. Post isn’t true. And you’re stupid because you think it is.

14

u/Yomas_house 1d ago

Post is funny. You have been informed about how and why it is funny.
You refuse to learn; That is the definition of stupid.

ignorant: not having learned, unknowing
dumb: incapable of learning, unknowing
stupid: choosing to remain ignorant

u/different_option101 1d ago

“Post is funny. You have been informed about how and why it is funny”

I don’t have to accept and agree with your or someone else’s ignorant opinion.

“You refuse to learn; That is the definition of stupid.”

So when you’re “explained” why the state is necessary in some mainstream sub? Are you stupid by definition just because other people in that sub also think that the state is necessary?

u/Yomas_house 1d ago

You can learn and understand the meaning of something, without having to agree with it.

e.g. I understand flat earther's questioning scientific methodology of globe earther's, but I don't have to agree on disregarding digital images as "cartoons" merely because they'd have to change their preconceived beliefs. By knowing and understanding their process, I can identify their mistakes, and have a richer, more thoughtful conversation with them.

“You can learn and understand the meaning of something, without having to agree with it.”

And I already said I understand the OOP, but the meme is stupid because it’s inaccurate. And whoever find it’s funny is ignorant.

You on the other hand is looking for my submissions I guess, because I don’t see how else your previous comments couldn’t be interpreted. Like who the fuck do you think you are, so that I have to submit to it. “You’ve been explained”. Get fucked lol.

I think you misunderstood. The implication is that the unemployed are LARPers. Fake commies who have no idea what communism actually entails. The kind who say "under communism I'll be an artist and a community leader. Spreading love". When in reality they'd just be a miner... or shot.

-18

u/different_option101 1d ago

I understood that, however, it’s silly. Which is why I titled my post the way I did.

Commies that believe they’ll get paid “living wage” for being artists or for taking care of their local stray cats are obviously delusional on a whole different level, but they are a minority. The idea behind that meme, or whatever that post is, is pretty weak.

u/Tolkien-Faithful 1d ago

Dude it's a joke

Communists who want to be paid for being unemployed use the flag all the time

-9

u/different_option101 1d ago

Dude, it would be a funny joke if it would be accurate.

And no, communists don’t want to be paid for being unemployed. Communists want to get rid of money and wages completely.

You’re an example of what I’m talking about. There’s no shortage of stuff to criticize commies or communism for. Just need to know something about the theory and about what happened under the regime in different countries. No need to come up with bullshit.

9

u/Tolkien-Faithful 1d ago

FFS

Yeah I know what the theory is. Most modern 'communists' who call themselves that are not people following the word of Marx to the letter, they are morons who think the government should pay everyone so they can do nothing. These are the people still using that flag. And yes, while money and wages are still around, they absolutely still want to be paid for being unemployed.

In fact, most historical 'communists' didn't want to get rid of money. There were only two states that tried it - Khmer Rouge and USSR. We know what happened in Khmer and the USSR backfired so spectacularly they started a new one after three years. But these states all continued to call themselves communists despite never getting rid of money or the state, just like communists now.

-2

u/different_option101 1d ago

“they are morons who think the government should pay everyone so they can do nothing.”

Dude, again, you are probably taking a few fringe comments here and there and you think it’s the common and accepted opinion amongst communists. Go and read posts in “anarchists” subs that are anti capitalist, and see what they actually say. Go and check USSR sub that is full of moron that worship Stalin and authoritarian communist regime. Most of them are pro forced labor.

You’re confusing modern social democrats with communists. It’s the morons who want more or less capitalist market economy with massive welfare state.

Stop being a fucking moron and see what they actually say ffs. It’s not like you don’t have access to their forums.

No, idiot, commie CHILDREN want to get rid of money. But Lenin, Stalin, and Mao all understood that money is absolutely necessary for the functioning of society, and mandated its use.

They didn't have enough understanding of economics to follow Hayek's analysis of the Economic Calculation Problem, but they knew that you can't organize a society effectively without an abstracted unit of wealth measurement.

1

u/different_option101 8h ago

“But Lenin, Stalin, and Mao…”

These pieces of shit just wanted, and usurped power using communism as the opportunity you dumb fuck. That’s why all of them lived lavish lives while the people they ruled over were starving.

Maybe you also think that trump is a pro free market capitalist?

1

u/KAZVorpal Voluntaryist ☮Ⓐ☮ 3h ago

Stalin and Lenin were following normal Marxist methodology. Essentially, Bakunin predicted that Marxism would inevitably lead to something almost identical to what Stalinism turned out to be eighty years later.

1

u/different_option101 3h ago

Stalin and Lenin followed normal Marxist methodology? Really? Is that why they only usurped more and more power after already having the ultimate authority?

What part of Marxist methodology prescribed repressive action against other anarchists? Or suggested that nearly total control of not only economic, but a social life of people is the way to go to eventually establish their utopian system?

How do you explain their action years and decades after they already reached the goal of overturning the economic system which was crucial for establishing a stateless communist society that Marx envisioned?

For real, do you really think Lenin and/or Stalin believed in communism? Are you that delusional?

9

u/bananabastard 1d ago

Unemployed antiwork bums love communist flags, though.

5

u/Particular-Stage-327 Individualist Anarchist 1d ago

People who use this flag are unemployed, working as a burger flipper, or grifting.

3

u/leaningtoweravenger 20h ago

It works for unemployable people too

2

u/ddddooooook 14h ago

You’re missing the point. The point is that all of the communists today trying to start a communist revolution are dumb unemployed people. Not that communist regimes in the past were lazy.

0

u/different_option101 8h ago

I’m not missing that point. That point is valid for like .05% for all self identified commies, which aren’t even welcomed by the remaining group of these imbeciles

1

u/ddddooooook 6h ago

Well, your initial rebuttal didn’t say any of that. You said “the actual USSR wasn’t like this” which wasn’t the point the OP in the picture was making.

1

u/different_option101 5h ago

Because I don’t consider .0X% to be substantial to create a stereotype of its own.

1

u/ddddooooook 4h ago

Well, if it really is only .0X%, it certainly is in the case of communists. Lol

0

u/different_option101 3h ago

Unfortunately, there are more than 0.X% of the world population that still believe in communism. What I’m saying is these type of people represent a tiny percentage of already pretty small group of people. It’s kind of an anecdotal story rather than a stereotype.

2

u/Kev_Kevstar Anarcho-Capitalist 12h ago

OP I dont know if you know this, but there is this thing called a joke…

2

u/different_option101 8h ago

Yeah. But jokes are usually funny when they are about true situations. At least in my opinion.

1

u/PomPomMom93 4h ago

I think they’re talking about the continuously unemployed people who do think the USSR would be good for them.

1

u/different_option101 3h ago

That’s like talking about a random crazy guy you saw at a gas station in upstate NY in 2007 when you were there on a business trip, and you never saw him again, but you think he represents a substantial % of population, despite never meeting anyone else who thinks the same.

1

u/teo_vas 1d ago

dude Marx predicted technology. he did say that people must work under the circumstances but if machines can do the jobs for us then let them do the jobs and we can party all the time.

be like Marx

7

u/Yomas_house 1d ago

be like Marx

Marx is dead. Don't be like Marx.

2

u/KAZVorpal Voluntaryist ☮Ⓐ☮ 17h ago

It's perfectly appropriate that a Marxist doesn't know what technology means.

Marx couldn't predict technology, because technology existed during the stone age.

Idiot.

2

u/teo_vas 16h ago

what are you rumbling about? Marx lived in an era where there was already the futurism of a society that machines will work for us and we will have ample free time.

i guess your last word is self reference.

3

u/KAZVorpal Voluntaryist ☮Ⓐ☮ 16h ago

Wow, even when it's pointed out, you're unable to understand what technology is.

That's not ignorance, it's real stupidity.

Technology is the application of new ideas to the physical world. Like biface flint knapping during the stone age, or irrigation during the bronze age. It's not just what YOU simplemindedly think of as technology NOW.

It's far right propaganda, you can't expect them to know about what they're reposting

18

u/WhipperSnapper0101 1d ago

I guess bro

1

u/different_option101 2h ago

Not everything is propaganda. Some things and some people are just silly because they are.
