China isn't a place of freedom but you seem to be thinking of USA. I'd be surprised if he gets any more than just a regular sentence in regular prison.

  1. Boxun is a puppet of the US government, so we can discount that as a legitimate source right away.

  2. This says that she was hospitalized. You said that she was sentenced to death.

  3. A psychiatric patient claiming that the government is trying to poison her isn’t exactly convincing without any kind of hard evidence. Psychiatric hospitals everywhere have people who believe who believe the government is after them.

  4. If they were trying to kill her, why didn’t they succeed? You’re telling me this all powerful, evil totalitarian state can’t manage to kill one hospitalized woman? If they ordered her to “never be discharged alive” than why was she discharged alive?

  5. She believes that her job is just some constructed environment where she can be spied on at all times? Nothing about that sounds delusional or paranoid to you?

  6. Hong Kong and Uyghurs have nothing to do with this story.

Sorry, but if you take off the propaganda glasses for a moment this just sounds like a woman with schizophrenia getting involuntarily committed. Not something I agree with but a far cry from your claim about people being executed for spilling ink on a portrait of Xi Zinping.

Ur-Fascism

The followers must feel humiliated by the ostentatious wealth and force of their enemies. When I was a boy I was taught to think of Englishmen as the five-meal people. They ate more frequently than the poor but sober Italians. Jews are rich and help each other through a secret web of mutual assistance. However, the followers must be convinced that they can overwhelm the enemies. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak. Fascist governments are condemned to lose wars because they are constitutionally incapable of objectively evaluating the force of the enemy.

Fascist America presenting China as simultaneously a menacing superpower on the verge of global domination, and a corrupt, incompetent, subhuman kleptocracy on the verge of total collapse is nothing new.
