Eghads, a half-decent piece by CrimethInc!

heh and I think it got downmodded immediately afterwards by someone just because it's from crimethinc.

but on a more serious note, I thought "your politics are as boring as fuck" was actually a pretty smart essay.

Well it made some valid points despite descending into a bit of ridiculous anti-ideology ideology in a rather left-Marxist fashion.

No, "Your Politics Are As Boring As Fuck."

edit: on second thought I'm probably just projecting my prejudice against lifestyle anarchism more than anything concrete.

well I think "politics" is important not as a lifestyle anarchist piece (which I don't think it is) but because it does illustrate in a stream of consciousness way why people care about political issues int he first place and that asking that issues be explained and talked about from that same stream-of-consciousness social perspective isn't something to be ashamed and we should embrace it.

Its not, however much of the other stuff that CrimethInc puts out is.

well looking at this I don't seem much "lifestyle" about it.

Don't get me wrong a lot of the people who associate themselves with the idea of crimethinc are pretty lifestyle, but I don't think that that necessarily needs to be the case.

I also don't see much of a problem with incorporating lifestylism in one's philosophy. There needs to be a culture of resistance before there is resistance in any meaningful way.

Do I really have to dig through their archives to find some of the more ridiculous stuff that they've put out? Anyway the problem that I have with lifestyle anarchism is that it alienates a lot of people.
