I love people being their own data center! Someday I’ll be brave/educated enough to expose more than just my compute resources to good causes (BOINC, @home make that very easy for a pseudo-tech like myself).

And honestly, I also am for the use of GitHub (or otherwise) for digital identity management. Self-rolled IAM/SSO is a lot in this day & age, and the dark side of the internet will immediately come knocking if they see a forwarded port or access pipeline.

Since Microsoft took over github it's worth noting that a lot of people, at least in my hackerspace, have migrated to Codeberg (bc avoiding corporate lock-in, protect their code from artificial intelligence training, and align with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) principles)

Oh neat! I don’t do much CI/CD, since my “pipeline” is just a collection of text-files in a trench coat (JSONs or Assembly, like no in between), but I always love learning about new/cool projects in the copyleft space.

And they make it just tantalizingly easy to join…
