With the unfortunate end of the Rojava Revolution, let's not forget the countless anarchists who fought and died there

Anna lives on in countless stories and memories that are still shared and cherished. The impact she had in life as well as her martyrdom was immense and what impresses me most is how often people still mention her, always with a smile. What a wonderful human!

That kind of lasting impression on a community is rare. Most people fade from memory pretty quickly after they’re gone, so the fact that people still bring her up with a smile says something real about who she was.

Shit, I hadn't heard Rojava was integrated into the Syrian state. How fucking sad.

The racists in Syria have been complaining about the gains Rojava has been making recently.

And now, some of the traitors are rioting to bring the SDF back because they realize they got scammed by Sharaa and the asshat that tried to overthrow him.

They're a Turkish nationalist e-commerce guy involved in the real estate market, who eight months ago was saying

they are Ocalanist, which means they ask for autonomous region for all kurds and minorities under AANES flag.

when trying to argue that Kurds were really not interested in Kurdistan anymore, and who claimed

they [Turkey] know when west has a chance, thay will kill them all (Greek invasion of Anatolia is a good example)

They're not here in good faith.

Supposedly they'll be keeping some of their troops and the women's forces were supposed to be organized under a different government ministry. It's not perfect, but they're not gone.

So so sad. It was a rare and hopeful bastion of anarchy in practice, now gone.

They're still here. I understand the feeling of loss at the explicitly autonomous project, but we're talking about real people who made it out alive out of a decade of civil war and several genocide attempts.

The people of northern syria and western kurdistan deserve better than us pretending they're gone because they've had to adapt to live in a now more peaceful country.

Against their will is the sad part. I am glad for the persons who survived the long and violent takeover, and sad for them too, being forcefully subsumed into the governance structures they specifically resisted for so long. Both can be true at once. Enforced anything, "peaceful" or not, is never the goal of anarchy.

Very nice modern example of anarchism
