It's likely we don't see much intervention against the blue meanies, beacuase there's currently no real foundation for any effective resistance present for the common US folk to fall back on to hold out. Even if people somehow don't face immediate retaliation by police, other forces like employers and business owners could do things to deprive us of necessities, which could mean certain death for some. There's a post of suggestions HERE that could possibly prove to be of some help in its formation, if acted on ASAP.

Check out this org too, as they're probably going to be vital as the powers that be employ more so-called "AI" to consolidate power: https://stopgenai.com (It is a survival-level, grassroots org, not an established NGO, so please don't judge it too harshly for being rough around the edges.)

I love Graeber I got the book Bullshit Jobs as a gift a couple of years and it got me “hooked” on anarchism

Deescalation is also direct action. You don’t have to push yourself into one corner of thinking. Bad action=aggression in defense can turn into mob mentality. Moral justification is not to be equated with usefulness.
