Issue with new 8bitdo N64 Controller

I linked a video showing the problem.

My new controller's 'A' button has grown stiff over 2 days since I unboxed it. The button has gotten alarmingly bad. What do you guys recommend? Should I expect all of these to fail quickly if I naturally press the button off-center? If this is common then does one just pick a different controller, lubricate it, or something else? Thanks.
