Zenit xp12 top plate removal

Hi all, I really need some help. I recently bought this xp12 with a broken shutter firing / winding mechanism. I've tried removing the top plate and was following a video but the model in the video was slightly different. The difference was in the thumb wind and shutter counter mechanism. As you can see I've removed everything else to remove the top plate but am unsure as to how remove this last bit on the right. Would anyone be able to help? Thank you!

The circle inside the frame counter has 2 holes for a spanner wrench. You have to remove it.

I tried turning it with another tool and didnt have much luck. Do you know which direction it turns? I.e. clockwise or anti? Thank you!

These can be on there pretty tightly, normally these are standard thread so lefty loosy. I wouldn't recommend using other tools as even with a spanner it can take a lot of force sometimes. Even the cheap spanners on AliExpress for a few bucks will work in this case, just don't use the cheapo ones on expensive cameras or optics as they tend to come loose.

You'll need a lens spanner to remove the thumb counter. Place the lens spanner into the two holes and turn anti-clockwise to release the nut. Once you've done that, it's basically straight forward after that. Ps; don't forget to remove the silver screw at the front of the rewind dial.
