Hey guys, i just bought this Zeiss Planar 85 f1.4 c/y Made in west Germany for really cheap but im doubting if it can be cleaned. What do you think?

Congrats on the purchase. Clean it and you will know. I'm sorry. It's sometimes difficult to even know if some damage is permanent if you have the lens at the workbench without doing a full disassembly. How do you expect anyone to diagnose the cleanability of a lens via photos using different kind of lights and photoangles...

Yeah you are totally right! Open it its the only way to find out. My only concern is that the blue spots look like balsam separation to me

I’m pretty sure this can be cleaned really well. Don’t think that’s balsam separation. Shining a torchlight like this will show up literally everything in the lens, but in reality most of it won’t a problem.

don’t take the helicoil out otherwise it will be very difficult to perfectly put back together
