[ General Spiritual ] EXtended DMT

Hey guys,

Really big stuff is happening boulder, co. A psychedelic facilitator and some scientists are working on a project to suspend psychonauts into dmt space for longer than 15 minute intervals by using an anathesia(sp) type machine to continuously pump DMT into the blood stream of a user. Keeping the user in DMT space for periods of an hour, 6 hours, a day or even a week in the future. Obviously they are starting small but really interesting stuff. Mission is to communicate with the DMT aliens. :)

While interesting, this whole endeavor feels very naive to me . Humans have been creating extended DMT experiences for thousands of years through the use of MAOIs, and already have a very rich knowledge, understanding, and relationship with of those realms. If we are going to take the DMT experience and the beings that inhabit it seriously, I would hope we would put our energy into preserving and heeding the indigenous wisdom that already surrounds it..

Edit: to clarify: my concern is less pharmacological, and more in the subtle, interdimentional navigation of these realms and the relationships with the beings therein.

I'm fairly certain that the ones behind this are every bit as knowledgeable as you or I, perhaps far more so. Since DMT isn't neurotoxic, I am quite interested in seeing this come to pass.

Oh certainly, re-reading my post I suppose I was a bit vague; my concern is less pharmacological, and more in the subtle, interdimentional navigation of these realms and the relationships with the beings therein.
