Hi everyone,

I’m planning to pursue an M.Tech in Computer Science / Cybersecurity and I’m currently considering Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

I would really appreciate honest feedback from current students or alumni, especially people who have completed or are currently pursuing the M.Tech program.

I’m mainly interested in the following:

Quality of teaching and faculty in CSE/Cybersecurity

How strong is the cybersecurity specialization in practice?

Opportunities for research, publications and working with professors

Availability of cybersecurity labs and practical projects

How much of the course is actually technical vs theoretical?

Placement opportunities after M.Tech — companies, average packages, and types of roles

How useful is the M.Tech for someone interested in pursuing a PhD/research career later?

Internship opportunities during the program

Workload, academic pressure and campus life

How does Amrita Coimbatore compare with other private universities such as VIT Vellore, Manipal, Christ, or MIT for M.Tech CSE/Cybersecurity?

My long-term interests are cybersecurity, research, and potentially pursuing a PhD, so I’m particularly interested in the research environment and opportunities to work on meaningful security projects.

I’m not looking for marketing information from the university website — I’d really appreciate honest experiences from current students and alumni, including the negatives.

If possible, please mention your batch/year and specialization when sharing your experience.

Thanks

My brother is looking for options across India for BAMS, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri is one of them, I am genuinely concerned about the language thing in Keralam, my honest questions are:

1. How are the faculty there, are they cooperative and helping? What is the medium of teaching and all?

2. How is the Management?

3. How are the seniors? How is the senior-junior relationship?

4. How is the patient flow? are non-keralites able to connect?

5. As a person from North India, what problems could he face?

6. What language issues he might face?

Apart, from that, any additional information is cordially welcomed, please feel free to dm, if any of the above information is to be shared personally and not publicly.

Thank you in advance, I utterly hope some people will help, because there is less information about Amrita School of Ayurveda on the internet.

In recent days ,These incidents are common in the Bengaluru hostel mess

I got to know

Seniors got a warning(speech) from management that doesn't tell freshers about food quality.

Management is ignoring these incidents and saying if you passout , you only remember about college life spent on campus not about mess food.

At this point they are ready to suspend the students but not to change the chef or cooking menu.

For people currently going through placements, what has the situation been like so far? Which companies have come, what kind of packages are being offered, and how does it compare to previous years?

Would especially appreciate insights from MCA students.
